Alliance Wars - Did I start to soon?

conor.p.bradleyb16_ESO
OK. Never did any PvP in ESO but after hitting lvl 44 last night, I jumped into Cyradil and took a couple of Scout quests. Not long after leaving the keep I was pounced upon by a sorcerer and died before I knew what was happening. This happened again and then again before I gave up.

At lvl 44, am I just too low for the Non Veteran campaign?

PS. Any Euro PvP Guilds recruiting for Ebonheart Pact? (Not hardcore guilds)

lvl 44 is not too low. The problem is that that sorc was probably an alt of a current vet player. He probably had good set gear, and champion points and nice potions and enchantments on his armor.

sounds like some Champion capped bully playing his lower character specifically to destroy people. my advice would have been to go around that keep and sneak out for your scout quest
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

The problem isn't ur level. The problem is that you lack:

    1) Skill: cos u're inexperienced with PvP, you probably have a bad build for it, u probably don't understand what enemies are doing because you aren't familiar with skills of classes u haven't played, u might not even know the difference between stuns like Cyrstal Frags and snares like Talons.

    2) Gear: if u're a new player, u probably cannot good quality gear, so people running around with full epic/legendary sets will have a big advantage over u.

    3) CP: if this is ur first character, u have no CP. Currently CP does apply in non-vet PvP, so veterans playing with lowbie alts will have a significant advantage over new players with no CP. This will change in the next content patch.

Scouting quests are pretty useless. They are a long ride, and the payoff is ridiculous.

You're not too low, but if you're new to PVP it doesn't surprise me you died before you knew what was happening. Combat in PVE and PVP is a completely different mindset, which you will learn over time, I have no doubt.
Just roll with a group around Cyrodiil for a while until you're comfortable with PVPing, the mechanics, what abilities people use and how to counter them.
Another option is to try out some duelling. Many people in enemy factions are quite happy to meet up for a few rounds. Great way to meet new people and gain some skills in the process.
When you feel more confident and run into that sorc again, he'll have a much tougher fight on his hands I assure you.
