No, because flying mounts have ruined pvp in every MMO.

I honestly don't understand it either. It's like someone told them flying mounts was "not cool" and "makes the game WoW" early on and now people just repeat it without thinking.

Realistically, the argument that it would spoil people's need to explore at this points is kinda silly. People have been through Cadwell's so many times now that they already know every nook and cranny of Tamriel.

WoW didn't have flying mounts for the entire vanilla game, and has held of adding them to each expansion after TBC to give people a chance to do "ground recon: before "spoiling them" with flying. This seems like an adequate solution

Personally, I will cast my vote for Daedric Titan with a side order of cooking alts riding Giant Over-Inflated Netch!

How to make flying mounts not ruin PVP:
    • Add siege weapons that deal specifically with flying targets (maybe ballistae on the walls of keeps aimed at the sky??) in addition to dealing bonus damage to them.
    • Have mobs in the skies above Cyrodiil that only attack people on flying mounts. Powerful mobs.
    • Add ways of defending keeps against flying players (maybe players can activate a ward that decays over time and must be reactivated every 15 minutes or so? Flying targets would need to break it down before they'd be capable of dealing any damage whatsoever to a keep).

I like the option of renting a flying mount. It'd be a fairly standard flying mount, but it'd still let people fly. That'd be cool.

It's not just PvP though, it threatens to cheapen PvE too.
In addition to the exceedingly high probability of it not being lore-friendly, flying mounts are used to bypass fighting NPCs and are instead used as a quick method of doing the bare minimum in quests and exploration.
It's like unlimited fast travel. It sounds cool, but in the long run it is not healthy for the game.

Bypass fighting NPCs? Quick method of doing the bare minimum in quests? Hello? Did you not read my suggestions at all?

I stated that boundaries should be put in place to prevent people from doing the former (e.g. can't fly over a chasm that would normally require the player to lower a bridge first) and I suggested that flying mobs be implemented to specifically target players in the skies.

Didn't say you couldn't fly, I said you couldn't fly in order to bypass an objective. Example: You can't fly into a keep to bypass lowering the drawbridge (there would be a boundary preventing you from flying over that specific keep).

Keep wanting. There's no point in flying mounts when you have to avoid invisible barriers. Flying has no place in TES, or ESO.

I really don't think flying mounts will ever be in the game, nor should they ever be in the game.

    That stated...

IF there were such, I'd want a broomstick! Even for my less then witchy characters...

A flying spell. Unpredictable, uncontrollable and prone to landing the user in slaughter-fish infested waters.
