    Ugh, all I keep thinking about is that a million dollars is enough to pay the yearly salaries for a QA team of 6-8 and still have enough for 4-6 additional programmers and designers. ZOS priorities are messed up.

    It doesn't make much sense even as an advertising gimick.
    Maybe they hope most people that bought the game will log in this week and some will remain. I doubt it.

    Yeah, even having a bunch of smaller prizes over 30 days would have been better. Things like in-game GMs selecting random players and giving them free crowns, costumes, motifs, etc. would have been better for the game.

    I would actually love it if this happened. This or they could create some unique costumes and put in limited time only achievements to get them (that or find a ZOS employee somewhere in the game)

    Wow. In all honesty I first thought it was a joke and I was waiting for the punchline. That amount is much too high and may really send the wrong signal to many players. I understand you want to invest in marketing and entice new players to join but if I were running ZOS and wanted to achieve this goal I would have done something along these lines:
    1. $100,000 giveaway. This is already more than enough to make anyone go nuts. The $1M is so high it makes it sound like a hoax...
    2. Introduce a player referral program with incentives based on the duration of their sub and spend on the game. This doesn't even have to be cash, crowns will do. Lets budget this at $50K for the development costs of the referral platform. The crown incentives are free for you guys.
    3. Spend $500,000 on additional servers and the creation of a PVP Arena. If $500K is not enough then throw more at it! Solve the lag and make your players happy again.
    4. Organize and promote PVE, group PVP and small scale PVP tournaments and market and twitch the hell out if it. Pay ESO Masters like Deltia, Sypher, Fengrush, King Richard, Lefty Lucy, Alcast, etc to co-host and participate and pay them for their effort. Budget $350,000.

    This has got to be a better way of spending $1M

    form is broken. it allowed me to select usa, but none of the states were selectable. contest gives rules outlining restrictions on several us states, but no matter what state i select the box is outlined in red.

    Apparently the form does not always work. It seems to have a problem with United States entries in that it will not accept the states.

    An online video game giving out real money lottery? Is this some kind of joke or ZOS just can't figure out better ways to spend their money? If they have so much money to spare, why couldn't they make more efforts to get lading screen issues fixed sooner than over two months or address numerous other problems?

    Two ridiculous news in one day, first vampire and werewolf on crown store then this, is really driving me to the edge of quitting the game.
