Does the Maelstrom staff affect Overload ?

I was wondering, when I use the maelstrom staff with wall of elements and use Overload attacks against the affected target. Will Overload also gain the damage bonus or only regular light and heavy attacks from weapons ?

I can't test it myself, because I don't have the staff and will never get it, because RNG hates me and I haven't received a single master staff in 100 VDSA runs or pvp mails just to prove my theory.

I just tested this on the GIants in the Rift. Your Overload attacks will be increased by the Maelstrom-Wall of Element enchant. If you use a lightning staff it is boosted more than when using an ice staff due to the Energized passive.

Edit: Interestingly, the Maelstom enchant is not increased by Elemental Expert but appears to be increased by 3% for using Power Overload.

Thank you so much Asayre, really appreciate the answer. :) Auri-El bless you.
What is the tooltip of the maelstrom staff ? How much does it boost light attacks ?
And the question is, does this still work when I swap to my dual wield bar to use overload ?

It is 1341 for a Legendary Maelstrom Staff. It boost your light attack by the stated amount but is not increased by elemental expert but is increased by 3% with Energy Overload and an additional 5% if you use a Lightning Staff (for a total of 8%). It doesn't work if you swap bars to your dual wield. And additionally the wall of elements must be casted by you. There is no added bonus if swapping to another Maelstrom staff (Lightning -> Ice)

Okay then it might not be worth using with Overload. Because dual wield just gives me more than that.
I think, then the Maelstrom Bow shouldn't work either when you just swap weapons after casting volley....
