I want to get the most from my character, but if increasing Elfborn increases your critical multiplier from 1.5 to 1.62 maxed out, how does this result in more damage than say using Spell Erosion to ignore someone's spell resistance?
1000 * 1,75 = 1750cossamaximus wrote: »
How does critical hits increase damager, what would my damage be if a normal 1,000 damage went critical.

Wrong... 100points Elfborn give you 25% = 1,75
This half of Elfborn thing changed with Orsinium DLC. Now Elfborn give the x% you see in CP Tree...1000 * 1,75 = 1750cossamaximus wrote: »

The base critical value is 1.5. The tooltip value of Elfborn is added to the base critical value so if you had 100 points in Elfborn (25%) your critical value will be 1.75. The critical value is rounded to 2 decimal places so you actually only need 98 points to reach a critical value of 1.75
Spell Erosion doesn't do as much as you think it does. 100 points in Spell Erosion reduces your target's mitigation by 0.03. If you are at the champion cap I would recommend 100 points in Thaumathurge/Elemental Expert, 66 points in Elfborn and 1 extra point for whatever you want. Do not put the last point in Elfborn because 66 and 67 points in Elfborn behave the same due to rounding errors. If you want to read more about this click the link my signature.
