For DPS you generally want to go Medium. Right now DK doesn't have many good stam abilities; you'll be usung your weapon abilities mostly. DK Magicka DPS is pretty powerful in PvE.

edorfeus✭✭✭Search youtube for a video "The regenerator" on Patrick Scott channel. It's quite interesting. The funny thing is, that I had the exact same idea for my own build since I first created my nord DK. He shows some nice results there.
