Vicodine✭✭✭I hope there never will be a way of gifting or trading "crowns". Sending a crown store item - maybe. Not the crowns themself.
That opens up the means for valuating everything in-game with real money (gold to crown to USD and such).
If you want to give anyone some crowns, I heard of some elusive retail cards, those are your best bet. Never seen them myself tho
Also G2A sells crown pack codes, altough not advised nor supported by ZoS, I would also be careful, code shopping online tends to be wonky, might end up being banned if it turns out the (original) transaction was made with a stolen card and reverted Thaometh V16 Altmer Templar AD/EU

✭✭✭✭You can gift crowns in theory. In the UK you can anyway. You can go into a Game store and buy crowns. It gives you a code to redeem. You could then just text/email your friend the code and it would work.

My guess is, people have multiple accounts, and want to load up one account with crowns to unlock stuff, that can then be shared with their other accounts. Glass motifs for example.Reften
