no more item bonus set nerf/change people afraid now to make legendary items

.. please eso no more increase max level if you want more level make the item level upgradable and please no more item set bonuses changes or nerf .. we players afraid to male legendary set anymore special heavy because of nerfing set .. please dont listen to those players who cries for item nerf or even class they just care about therselves not for the game..

I've been wary about wasting my VR15/16 mats because of this, so I think I'll be crafting myself some VR15 and survive with them at purple.

Well there will be newer "more powerful" armor released at some point.

Thankfully with how armor sets work, your old armor can be just the right fit as a secondary.

Don't be afraid, just prepare best you can

In order to improve our gear to legendary quality, the legendary tempers are required to drop at least once in a while.
Yesterday I was really lucky when I got ONE Tempering Alloy from refining over 700 ores, but more often than not, I get nothing at all. That's a bit of a mess right now. Pretty much the same with Dreugh Wax and Rosin.

With the lousy drop rates of VR15/16 materials in Wrothgar the grind required to make a full set of VR16 even without worrying about making it gold is depressing... and I am speaking as someone who actually used to enjoy running aro8und grabbing materials just to enjoy the game.

Now it's just another grind with 3/4 of what you find being functionally worthless since the bottom dropped out of the void/night market and even herb prices are suffering due to the lack of content needing potions.

That's why I do the daily normal and vet at vet 16, though I still rock vet 14 gear. that's because I'm a cheapskate and haven't done a lot of trials yet (And waiting on my 9th trait). But it will be depressing when I burn through all those mats. I only have enough to make a few gold.

@Moonshadow66 1/700? That's just bad luck. Sorry to hear that, I'd be pissed too. Seems to me the lower level ore drops more Alloy for me. Iron ore. But I don't go farming for the stuff so don't take my word. Just kina hoard everything I find.

The only thing keeping me from experimenting with sets is the absurd mat cost for VR16 and the nerf to legendary improvement mats - at least in my recent experience refining raw materials is giving far fewer gold improvement mats.

I don't mind increasing level caps with new content or set bonus changes. Case in point: after IC came out many magicka builds switched to Kagrenac's, a useless 9-trait set before ZOS added the spell damage bonus.

If the content needing potions only delivers BOP, the economy for selling gear followed by buying reagents for potions becomes much smaller.

And this is my problem with how ZOS handle expansions. They should be adding more options with each update, not just adding more powerful ones, otherwise I don't see the point in having item sets and we might as well have just gone down the route of most gear grinder MMO's and each new update brings the same items but with +10 more power.

Every set in the game should have some value to a build so players can achieve the same results in different ways, the old soft caps would allow this because players could hit the cap in damage then work towards something else which was their own style of build. Now however the thing which should be considered in a build is "how can I get more spell/weapon damage out of this?"
