Changes to the Skill Bar

I would really like for their to be another box on the skill bar screen for me to use my soul trap skill ability without having to remove a combat special ability. Or does anybody know how to use this skill ability along with all the others.

I'd go with a couple of extra boxes.

This is pointless if you really want to use soul trap you are just farming. Soul trap is not a needed skill and is worthless for dealing damage its only value is making money so use it for that and enjoy it there is not enough good skills to need another slot on your bar.

It would be amazing if each skill bar had a secondary buff bar of maybe 3 skills. Wishful thinking though.

Soul trap does not necessarily have anything to do with farming. You need soulgems to resurrect and recharge weapons, and as you go through the game you are given empty ones. It's not about making money, it's about making an empty item usable. As far as there not being enough good skills to fill empty slots... I don't know what class you are playing but I find even with two weapon sets there are skills that I wish I could fit in.

That said, this isn't about having more regular skill slots. Soul Trap is a specific use skill that is given free when you start the game and I agree it would be nice if it had its own slot somewhere, or if there was an easier way to toggle it on and off. I tend to let empty soulgems pile up because switching skills out is annoying, but I would love to be able to fill them as I get them.

You've put a point into the Soul Lock passive right? The one that gives you a chance to refill a gem from weapon attacks?

Eh. The limited skill bar forcing you to pick and choose carefully is one of the things I like about ESO. Much better then games where "combat" consists of staring at two dozend cooldown timers...

So I'd be happy if they never ever added any new ability slots.

Not to mention that I expect they choose this setup for console controllers...

As for soul trapping, it has been mentioned, soul lock, and finish with weapon strike instead of ability. I use nothing else, and still fill up any soul gem I have, if a bit slower.

The skill bar system is the only thing that really give the "skill" to each player. Choose whatever you want, just not at the same time ;-). One of the best features in ESO!

Adding more skills to choose from, sure! Since you still have to choose, its sort of an anti "OP" new skills too.

So what they could do is leave the action skill bar with the boxes as is and as the player gains more experience with that ability and have soul gems in their inventory they should just get automatically filled just like they do now.

Maybe this is something they can look it?

Soul Lock fills enough stones for my daily needs. If I suddenly need more, I take some time off to go farming. It's more efficient this way. I don't need to do it while questing.

People must be dying alot... well, I don't PvP so perhaps that's where this is coming from. But I get more than enough filled Soul Gems while questing (treasure chests) and also have about 40 Crown Store gems which I never use. I add SPs to the two Soul Gem passives that give me a free resurrect every hour... but I really only use the gems for charging weapon enchantments. Even then, I still have acquired enough gems that I've found from treasure chests, that I don't need to touch my Crown Store gems. Typically when I receive an empty soul gem, I just sell them to a merchant when I sell all the other stuff I've collected through questing.

Just a conversation and like how the game and action bars are at present.
