How the heck is one supposed to get to v16 and endgame and worse what if i want to do it with more than one character?

I can't play 8 hours a day and I don't even feel the fun of the game because I just want to get to end game. End game can have multiple levels and can take long to get top gear its ok, but all that just to get to end game is insane.

There is no point of trying to get good gear since the next VR it will be weak and this has really demotivated me no fun in gear grinding or crafting.

When will VRs be removed already? I want to get back into this game.

    With exp potions you need less than 3 nMSA completion to get one Rank.
    About 3 hours to do. So 2H a day for a month?
    Completing a full run of Cyro dailies gets you half a rank with xp pots.
    About 2 hours to do.
    The Orsinium Dailies also gets you you some exp.
    Grinding still exists.
    Pledges also give some XP.
    General questing still works.

    What I did, as I actually enjoyed the questing and exploring was cruised through cadwells gold and silver. Collected all skyshards before leaving each region with plenty of PvP in between. The levels seemed to fly by.

    So I would say to you, go complete all the regions, collect as many skill points as possible. For when you reach endgame, you will likely end up wanting to gain all those skill points anyway.

    If you don't mind spamming steel tornado all day long in the same location you can easiely do 1 vet rank every 2h.
    And even questing should't take too long, as you get about 1.5 ranks for each completed zone.

    I don't care if they remove veteran ranks to be honest. I leveled up two of them to v14 the old way and now that I want to make another character I find myself for instance, with the struggle of having to level again to Vfreaking16. Aside of skyshard work, lore book work, etc etc.

    ESO is as good while you are reaching endgame as it is good at the endgame.
    Even more. If you don't love PvP or dungeoneering, growing to V16 can be much more interesting than being V16.

    I know what I'm talking about. I have 5 end-game toons and 2 more are growing.

    I'm playing since it came out on PS4. I just enjoyed the game as I played through Cadwell Silver and Gold. I enjoyed the quests and the story. I haven't even finished Cadwell Gold yet and I'm already vet 16. If you are still on vet 5 it's because you are doing something wrong.

    So you can't play a lot (which sucks, I understand that) but you want veteran ranks removed so you can automatically be at the max level? That's what it's sounding like and if that's what you're saying then that's ludicrous lol. The sad part is that zenimax is listening FAR TOO much to people like you, casual gamers, and catering to you. That's why this game is slowly but surely headed down the crapper. If you have a single player game and you don't have a lot of time to play it, but you want to finish it so you can see how it ends, do you ask the people who made the game to cut out parts of the game so you can get to the end faster?

    We don't have a timeline yet but some of the bones have been revealed.
    It would be worth it for you to continue to level one character to max and then, once they do remove them (if CP stays account wide) you'll never have to do it again. You'll just be working toward CP gain which will apply to all characters as they hit 50.

    At this point max to equip the gear you'd have at VR16 will be around 160 CP. So there you go, get on it :)

    They have stated there will be no more VR level raises.

    Weakling Milk-Drinker! (juuust kidding here :tongue:;) )
    I play maybe an hour a day on average, and I have three V16, one V5, one V3, and three V2. At the moment.
    Okay, I have been playing since summer 2014... but back in those days, it was waaay harder. We had to quest uphill both ways, in freezing skyrim snow and burning alik'r heat to get the 1.4 million expees for our vetreran ranks back then, while fending off blood-crazed bugs with our offhand while we stab our main weapon at the quest bosses, and we didn't even get to dye our armor to make it a bit more bearable! Now gerroff mah lawn! :grin:;)

    The thing is, you'll get there if you just go steadily and enjoy the ride instead of worrying about how far it is to the goal. Main story to veteran ranks, cadwells to V11, or these days more likely V13-14, then either cyrodil dailies or orsinium for the rest...

    It's easy on the first character. latter ones may find cadwells a bit... tenious... at least, if you are still or a normal, sound mind, and not crrrrraaaayyyyzzzeee like me... ;)

    And most probably just when you do, they'll remove veteran ranks and it'll be all champion system, more likely then not.

    But hey, at least then it will be all better!

    I started in June and I just reached VR15, eso is the only game I've been playing in that time. It seems the easiest way to me is to just play the quests, I try to do all of the quests in each area, and I'm currently in Rivenspire, which is in my 3rd alliance zone since I'm AD. I don't know where some players find the time to have multiple VR16 characters, I guess they just put the hours in and have found the most efficient ways to earn xp. I've been spending too much time in Cyrodiil because its so much fun, except for the lag and loads but the only reason I moan about those is because I enjoy it so much and the lag ruins it sometimes, but I really need to knuckle down and get cadwell's gold finished and hit VR16, get some decent gear and hopefully I won't get ganked quite so much in pvp.

    I've found some of the quests a bit boring tho to be honest, the 3 zones have similar stories, similar enemies and some similar quests, it can feel like a bit of a chore at times when doing one delve feels a lot like many of the previous ones. This makes me not want to think about playing a toon through all of the game again, and why I support starting toons at higher level once you have done gold with your first.

    Having said that, when you do focus on doing quests for a couple of hours you do start raking in the xp and the veteran levels have flown by for me.

    Ive been playing for 2 months and I was out of town, unable to play, for 2 weeks of that, and I have 2 lvl 50s and a VR16. I dont play overly much, maybe on a real good gaming week 30 hours, usually more like 20. How? I just quested my way through the game.

    added: Most of that time was spent in the Vlvls. Getting to 50 is a cinch.

    I've been playing since 28th July. My highest character is VR6. So I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. However, I don't mind the Veteran Ranks. I haven't rushed my character, and I still have fun playing. I started in EP, I'm over halfway through DC now on my main, and if I keep up the levelling rate (I do a lot of quests, all those available to me) I will be VR16 by the time I finish the AD content, most likely before that. I don't have a problem with that at all. I enjoy the game as it is.

    I agree I set myself up for your reply with my caustic post, but allow me to elaborate a bit.

    OP has been playing for THREE MONTHS. Not six months, not a year. Three months. And he's asking that anyone be able to reach max level in that timeframe.

    It's already possible to level a character to VR16 in a matter of days or weeks if you know what you're doing. Again, if you know what you're doing, three months is surely more than enough to do it. Making the process even faster can only harm the game rather than make it better.

    Too fast leveling makes for some of the following, which I've personally encountered on VR16 players:
    - Tank not knowing what a taunt is;
    - DPS and healer in the Grobull fight running around like chicken with their heads cut off single-targeting dozens of adds until they're inevitably overwhelmed and killed;
    - Players standing in AoE the whole freaking time with no block or shield, expecting healer to keep them alive;
    - etc.

    This isn't a standard 30-hour single player game that you finish in a week and put away to start on something else. If you want to level fast, grind. If you don't, just play the game and you'll get there.

    Go to Cyrodiil. Find the 5 towns scattered about the place. Do the 10 daily missions and VR ranks just fly by. I got 3% of a VR14 rank in under a minute on a fetch quest. Granted they mostly take longer than that and some fighting may be involved, but it's the fastest way to level.

    Been leveling an alt recently for strategic cp purposes. He was v2 by the time he reached molag bal at the end of the main quest line. He is now nearly v8 in a v3 zone. Vet ranks are so easy to earn nowadays, you can complete a zone in about 4 hours and that will get you 2 vet ranks. My main grind to v10 (max rank at the time) took an age. They've made it easier on several occasions over the last year. Also if they were to remove vet ranks now I doubt your v5 toon wouldn't be at "end game", and certainly wouldn't be equal to my v16. Mmos are grindy, fact.

    I have no idea what you're complaining about. It took me and my questing partner Larz a little over year (we started in early access at the PC launch) to get to VR14 playing together 3-4 hours each evening when VR14 was the cap...at 1 million experience per VR. You have it easy with reduced experience per VR needed and still complain. Personally I see nothing wrong with VR and fear the major bugs and grind Zenimax will introduce removing them. You want to get to end game so badly do what the others before you did and grind it mindlessly the entre time you "play". Then you can get to end game and complain about nothing to do or "PVP is too laggy."

    What makes me laugh is i or most people can do level 1-50 in a day, and vr1-16 in 2 days.

    My last templar took about 2 weeks casually to get from 0-vr16, I did every single quest and all the main storyline, I only did Vr1-6 in the sewers, which is great because having enough trophies to open 30 odd vaults meant I had a metric *** ton of gold sales and all the items I wanted to gear them straight up.

    I have also been playing since August, I probably played like 3 - 4 hours daily since I have work and family to attend to. Max level is very easy to reach, by the time I completed cadwell gold i have already become V16. And it was probably 1 month ago. I have to admit that it was not too fun going around questing everyday, but it was doable.

    If you have hard time leveling up to V16, then I have bad news for you, grinding gear is even more boring than anything. Doing vet dungeon over and over just to get a wrong helmet is so painful and depressing. But hey at least I get something, there are those that run 100+ times without any drop. Getting mats needed to craft V16 gear? There is nothing really fun about it if that's is your only target.

    I would recomend just get a new target, for example you want to clear all the quest on each area, without realizing you will be V16.

    Oh and eso plus help :wink:

    As a matter of fact it is a problem. The fact that it is so easy to reach VR16 and everyone guns for it so hard makes over half the playerbase max level already, CPs not included. This means there are less people of lower levels to go do stuff with other people of lower levels, plus it makes PvP for anyone not VR16 pretty much pointless.

    Yeah, "end"game indeed.

    Oh and it makes any equippable not VR16 worthless, except for trait research. So yeah, everyone rushing to VR16 is quite the issue with no hope of being fixed at this point... both playably and economically.
