Well, if it helps, here's what I'm running atm

    Attributes:
    64 Magicka

    Mundus Stone:
    Atronach

    Gear:
5 pcs Julianos (Light armor, all Divines)
1 pc Molag Kena (Heavy Armor, Divines)
3 pcs Willpower (all 3 Spell Damage Enchants)
2-3 pcs Torug's Pact (Medium Gloves, Resto Staff & DW Swords, Nirnhoned, Absorb Magicka Enchants)

    Skills:

    Bar 1: Resto Staff
    - Double Take
    - Piercing Mark
    - Siphoning Attacks/Harness Magicka
    - Structured Entropy/Sap Essence
    - Healing Ward

    Ultimate: Devouring Swarm

Devouring Swarm + Sap Essence spam is my anti-zerg move: I usually die, but with proper backup and a good counterattack from fellow players, zergs are gonna regret coming near you. Sap can be replaced with Structured Entropy.

Piercing Mark vs enemy NB, Double Take to boost Evasion and Siphoning Attacks when you run out of Magicka or Harness Magicka for the same purpose (this is an offensive build with less sustain, Siphoning/Harness is a must).

    Bar 2:
    - Dark Cloak
    - Concealed Weapon
    - Lotus Fan
    - Impale
    - Mass Hysteria

    Ultimate: Soul Harvest

Pretty straightforward here: Cloak, then stun with Concealed. Drop a Soul Harvest next and finish off with Impale. Use extra Concealed if needed

Lotus Fan is your main gap closer, and use Mass Hysteria when surrounded followed by a Cloak to escape tricky situations. Mass Hysteria can be used 1vs1 too for a chance to hit with extra Concealed too.

    Champion Points:

    Warrior:
    Lady: Hardy

    Thief:
    Tower: Magician
    Lover: Arcanist

    Mage:
Apprentice: Elfborn/Spell Erosion (30 points here for Spell Crit passive)
Ritual: Thaumaturge (every other Mage Point goes here, if you have 100 Thaumaturge then go back to Apprentice)

    Screenshot_20151107_234610_zpsz7jtu6me.png

It's a pretty powerful offensive build, made for assassinating (ganking) or 1vs1 (honorable). However, the Magicka Regen is a bit low, so don't draw out a fight against a single opponent or you'll run out of Magicka. 1vsX isn't recommended either unless you make good use of your Cloak and potions

Why agony? That skill is terrible. Swap it for structuree entropy for 20% damage increase or refreshing paths for the heals. Also since you went dark elf, vamp is an option. Swap out soul tether and use devouring swarm to get the 10% regen. You may have an issue with magicka sustainment. Only one regen item and using julianos. Consider kragranocs hope. You lose 75 spell power and some crit but gain health, magicka regen, and resurrect decrease. You can make up the crit using thief Mundas and you should be near 50% anyways.

    Resto
    Healing ward
    Merciless Resolve
    Structured Entropy
    Proximity Detination
    Funnel health
    Devouring Swarm

Works for me. Let's me range or melee DPS. Use light resto attacks clipped with funnel for range. After four, you get assasin's will, which hits hard. Other than that it's a standard NB build. Usually people go all melee or all range but I like both.

To be fair I do play around with it a lot but this is my most consistent loadout. I will swap Mark for Sap or Harness Magicka and will swap out Dawnbreaker/Soul for Ice Comet.

So is it not a good idea for magicka NB to use siphoning skills on their attack bars? (Funnel, Sap)

Even when I go Redgaurd magicka nb my funnel health does pretty good single target damage.

Also, Prolonged suffering is a stun and a dot

    Piercing Mark
    Mass Hysteria
    Shadow Image/Purge/Prox det.

    Ultimate: Soul Tether

You don't really need cloak on both bars.

    @Tryxus

Hey, curious on some of your numbers w/o any buffs aside from entropy (or a skill like it)

If you don't mind, what is your proxy, sap, and impulse values? Just curious, thinking of making a NB but dont know if I want to go mp with high elf or stam with woodelf.

EDIT: Bats value would be fine too, just want a bench mark to compare with my wizard.

Using Entropy on DW bar (food buff active, stats at 35255 Mag, 19799 HP (Outside Cyro) and 14301 Stam)

Sap Essence: Damage = 6546; Cost = 2279 (gives 20% Spell Power too like Entropy)
    Pulsar: Damage = 4409; Cost = 2279
    Devouring Swarm: Damage = 5460; Health Siphoned = 3210
Magicka Detonation (don't have it yet, Rank 5 on this char): Damage = 15482; Cost = 2848

I don't use Pulsar anyway, Sap Essence heals you, has better effects and does more damage for the same cost.

I'm eagerly awaiting to unlock Proxy Deto. Just thinking about it excites me: using Proxy + Camo Hunter, going cloak, Concealed Weapon, Soul Harvest, Deto explodes hopefully at the right time,...

Agony is definitely good. I use it on my magika nb all the time. Ranged stun that turns into a 10k dot after it's stam broken, not bad. Great for grabbing escapers, or hitting someone mid crit rush with. Knocks them out of the rush and they sit there giving you a moment to line up your next attack. It doesn't hit quite as hard as cripple, but the stun is great. You can also troll people by constantly using it on them from stealth.

Mine's level 16 and I have pretty much worked out what I'll run at 16 lol

    5 julianos
    3 arch mage
    3 willpower

    Bar 1 - Destro
    Dark cloak
    Impale
    Concealed weapon
Swallow soul (ridiculous weave with staff)
    Lotus fan
    Soul harvest

    Bar 2 - resto
    Structured entropy
    Mass hysteria
    Shade/crippling grasp/grim focus
    Double take
    Healing Ward/rapid regeneration/combat prayer
    Clouding swarm.

Not totally sure on two slots. Also, which Nat for which ultimate. Swarm on front bar for the regen, or soul harvest for ulti gain.

Doesn't hit as hard has a dot and snare instead of raw damage.

This could not be further from the truth.
Agony is an amazing skill. It's an instant cast with a huge range that has a hella long CC for those who don't have the stam to break. It is also good for blockers. Whether or not it fits into someone's build is something else. But calling this skill terrible, no, not at all.

Your losing dps. It provide player immunity. That's one less skill your casting and slotting on your bar while someone is immune... If your in a group and your partner ccs your opponent it's a wasted skill slot. If you try casting it and the player has immunity youve just wasted your time casting it and no damage was inflicted. There are much better options for his build. If you want a dot yr better off going with cripple. Does more damage and isn't limited to being situational.

Oh ***, for some reason I was thinking Crippling Grasp, yeah, Agony sucks, you can infinitely break it and stay high stam. CG though is amazing. I always swap those 2 skill names around ;/

idk if it has been said, but there is absolutely 0 reason to run cloak on both bars, if you want to be good at pvp you're just gonna have to get used to bar switching

And also, merciless resolve is pretty crucial to a magika NB, if you want to be able to kill good mag sorcs you're gonna need something that hits hard and its the magblade's strongest burst, plus its a flat 8% damage boost on a decently long buff

    I personally run

5 kags (the mag regen is more important than the 70 spell dam you gain from julianos and spell crit is garbage in pvp, also the HP is actually valuable for magblades since it is just another way to make those healing wards stronger)
    3 willpower
    3 Archmage
1 Kena (just got it today!)

    dw bar
funnel, sap, concealed, lotus fan, merciless resolve dawnbreaker

    resto bar
healing ward, fear, double take, cleanse, piercing mark(or cripple or prox det) meteor

Funnel is free dps and hits ever so slightly less hard than concealed weapon while also giving you a solid heal, I use it to keep pressure up on ranged opponents

I personally love meteor on a magika nightblade, the meteor - fear combo is just so nasty and works MOST of the time, even when I'm fighting good players

True. But playing with a latency of 300+ makes swapping weapons unreliable at times. That's why some choose Cloak on both bars, the same as Templars often run Breath of Life on both bars.

The problem with julianos set is you don't have magicka recovery. This set is very efficient for pve, imo.

    For your gear I recommand
(the advantage is only craftable sets, you don't need any monsters sets)

    - 5 willow's path

hat, infused, max magicka, light armor
epaulets, divines, max magicka, light armor
gloves, divines, max magicka, light armor
breeches, infused, max magicka, light armor
boots, divines, max magicka, medium armor

    - 4 Magnus

Cuirass, infused, max magicka, heavy armor
sash, divines, max magicka, light armor
2 swords nirnhoned trait, enchants : one disease and one prismatic enchant
Resto staff, defending trait, absorb magicka enchant.

    - 3 willpower (arcane)
    necklace spell damages enchant,
2 rings with magicka recovery enchant (or 1 on spell damages depends of what you want, more sustain or spell damages)
