[Bug]Orsinium Crafting Writs.

When you complet a crafting writ and get a research map (wood/metal/cloth/runes/flowers) I am getting less nodes to harvest than i get for doing the Graglorn ones (8).

Is this intended or meant for you to get less materials for doing the higher writ.

Please look into this.
Thank's

Yes only 5 nodes, as opposed to 8 in Craglorn. It seems the new writs are pointless, considering time and cost spent.

I will be very interested to see the numbers re how many players end up doing the new writs. I expect most will have the sense not to bother.

They vary as did the Craglorn ones, this is not a bug.

EDIT: To elaborate, some give 5, some give up to 8, it depends on the map you get etc... in most instances it's less than Craglorn but this is intended.

Doing the writs is really, really worth while, but only more so depending on how many characters you use for them. I am using 8 characters worth and the rewards are ridiculous.

I would recommend resetting your writ characters to 9/10 crafting points and continuing the Craglorn writs, as these are very remunerative still. Bear in mind that you might not want to do this on any characters with which you will be collecting mats in Wrothgar, as it will affect the mats you can farm.

Bugged or not, proved fewer or not, I'll keep doing them because it's the only guaranteed way (assuming we have the map, of course) to find a good bunch of Ancestor Silk plants

I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).

Right now the only thing on the NA server still too outrageously expensive is Ancestor Silk. The prices on wood/metal has dropped enough that writs will at least break even with the cost of materials. These damn things really should give out more glass motif pages. It's been quite a while now for those to STILL cost as much as the ancient orc/akaviri stuff that just came out.

Yay, thanks to @ZOS_Alex I was able to recover my post, so here I hope this helps:

I run 4 major crafting writs a day (Enchanting, Clothing, Blacksmithing and Woodworking), on 8 characters, with 2 rounds of hireling mails on each character. On these 8 characters they all do the glorious Wrothgar crafting writs, it takes me around 1hr to 1hr20mins a day to do, so I feel I can offer some insight on this post. Having done the Wrothgar writs since launch day I can inform you that I have earnt a lot of money and this is in part aided by my obsession of writs. To do 8 characters worth of writs a day leaves you losing around 100-200 of each stack of materials required to do the writs. Every day I gain approximately 6-10 legendary materials from the writ boxes alone and within three days often see myself getting two full sets of the Wrothgar treasure maps for each profession (yes, all three, at least once over, often I get duplicates and triplicates of certain more readily dropped maps, namely: clothing I, enchanting I, blacksmithing III, Woodworking I). At each crafting writ map location I find as we have already covered varying 6 resources up to I believe it's 9? (Going to go and do my three days worth of maps soon to clear my inventory so we'll see). After harvesting these resources I am often in profit of around 200-300 raw materials. At this point I have not begun to include my hirelings which I receive twice a day (20-40 raw materials a day total) as well as my usual daily activities in ESO which give me items to deconstruct etc. By this stage I usually stand at around nearly breaking even, at around 500-600 mats gained vs 600 mats lost per profession stack (Remember, I am viewing this across a 3 day period just to give whole numbers etc). So to recap, I have gained 6-10 legendary mats a day, gained legendary mats from the refining of raw materials from writ map nodes, gained money from doing the writs leaving me at profit and self sustain in doing the writs. Additionally, I forgot, a glass motif every 2-3 days for a little bit of extra profit ranging from 40-100k on luck. Furthermore, when you do 8 writs a day you get 8 armor / glyphs / weapons to deconstruct from the writ boxes, these often give around 25-30 materials a day, giving me around 80-100 bonus materials every 3 days, but only the V15-16 materials. I often don't even have to sell these legendary materials as I've broken even and have 'gotten most of the mats back. Some of my stacks such as Ancestors Silk have even grown and I've been selling these to refund the Rubedo Leather I use. So yeah, pretty much sums it up, I am over sustainable and gaining legendary mats and money from writs every day.

Writs in the current patch can give you profit, but once again, not if you are doing them solely on one character. I would say the minimum is around 3 characters whilst turning over most of your legendary materials and the occasional glass motif to make yourself sustainable (even then you should be sustainable enough). At around 5 characters a day I'd say is the point where you can avoid selling legendary materials entirely at an educated guess, but yeah, the writs end up being profitable and self sustainable but only more so the more characters you do with them. Once again, doing them with 1 or 2 characters will be hard to sustain and there won't be much profit. From around 3 characters upwards though they should be relatively sustainable and get you some return from being able to sell or keep a few legendary materials.

Can a Mod/Dev Delete this post please as it seems a waste of time trying to get any answers. Whats the point of reporting stuff if it just gets ignored.

    Wont bother again.

I am getting a normal amount of nodes, maybe it's related to your skill points or something :confounded:

I have 10/10 in all crafts just done a enchant servey and only got 6 nodes.

So no its not skill point related, going to respec back to 9 as these are a waste of time/resources.

Enchantment surveys give 6 nodes in craglorn too (craglorn II had 6 I believe, maybe 7) they have never given the same volumes as BS etc... I think you aren't seeing a bug just believing one to be there, I know that those amount of enchanting nodes are common  2 of each type of rune, I receive the same amount too.
