What's the thing you're most afraid of in PvP?

✭✭✭✭✭I'm not really scared of anything in PVP; that comes from a person who admittedly sucks in PVP.
But I hate the fact that if I'm doing dailies or a delve on the far side of the map and get killed (which is an inevitability for me in any pvp encounter) then I'm ported alllllll the way back. Since I'm DC, allllll the way back usually means allllllllllllllllllllllllll the way back.
In essence, I'm not scared of other players themselves; I just hate having to waste time riding back to where I was, just so I can finish some 2-minute daily quest.
The worst grind in this game isn't the CP; it's the Cyro riding distance.ALL HAIL SNUGGLORR THE MAGNIFICENT, KING OF THE RNG AND NIRN'S ONE TRUE GOD! Also, become a Scrub-scriber! SJ Scrubs: Playing games badly to make you feel better about yourself.0 -

For another, the lag is bad enough in PvE -- PvP it's even worse. Finally, I absolutely LOATH zerging groups of 12 year olds running around ganking everyone.
Fortunately, there's enough PvE in the game for me.0 -

J2JMC✭✭✭✭✭Azura's Star PS4 NA. Abandoned it 1 month after console release, figured I'd try it out two days ago since all other campaigns were dead. It was god awful. Actually seeing DC have an equal population was nice, but it wasn't worth the severe lag caused by the zerg balls.
I don't understand the appeal. I joined a zerg train and used my analog stick plus two buttons for 2 hours and gained 50k AP. Free AP is nice but that certainly wasn't fun. Didn't even feel like I was doing anything. Just watched AP pop up on my screen for no reason. Even when my character was sliding across the floor lolKnee Jerk, L2P, Obtuse, Casual, Entitled, All The Best, unnecessary mention of CoD
Battle leveling for pve content defeats the idea of progression. Remove CP

Tamanous✭✭✭✭✭I don't fear PVP. My mmo pvp template is DAoC which is rock, paper, scissor for balance and I expect certain classes to have advantages over others. However:
I have a deep concern over why developers continue to make mmo pvp based upon highly outdated vertical progression mechanics where they allow new players to enter against veteran players who are many times more powerful strictly though gear and mechanics making pvp completely pointless.
This is the SOUL reason why pvp becomes a tiny little niche community system in mmos. I love pvp in mmos but tired of grinding out separate or parallel with pve progression to participate on the same level. Player experience, superior group play and at best, build-specific customization should be the only contribution to success. Gating pvp kills pvp. ESO has tons of non-power scaling rewards for many things in the game yet they still apply the outdated and highly unfair (as in go hardcore or go home) vertical power scaling to pvp.
When developers learn this they will earn my trust again. Swtor pvp (as far as warzones go) is a great deal of fun for me but completely broken for casuals and returning players. I have gone through the annoying grind twice just to be on par with those who play 10+ hours a day (and hinge their entire gaming ego on the fact they have no other life) and when I return from taking 6 or so months off of an mmo I have zero inclination to try it all over again. I JUST WANT TO PLAY!!! ... but the developers won't let me!
You will find many here feel the exact same way. They want to participate but developers gate entry to pvp and makes it a pointless affair. Nearly every mmo in existence that has gated gear/progression entry to pvp has always had the greatest participation at it's lowest tier or levels. There is a very good reason for this: everyone is closest in power at those levels and later become disheartened and quit making end game pvp a niche experience for the hardcore only.
ZOS now works toward removing vet levels and making the game more widely accessible at the higher levels. If they do not bother to do the same with pvp, pvp in the game WILL die just like it dies in most mmos unless made into an e-sport (basically embracing the hardcore niche element and saying "f*** it" to their main player base). Luckily ZOS appears to be against the e-sport approach.

Agreed 100% with the bolded passage I hate having to go to cyrodiil to get skyshardsplus since ZOS removes all the dead campaigns the only safe ones for pve players I can't go anywhere without seeing 7+ enemy NBs in quest/skyshard areas on buff servers.PS4 NA
