Things that are bind on pickup, you cannot use on an alt account once they qualify for the item.
Crowns/purchased dlc and items from your main account will not be available to you.
Collection items will not be available to you.
Progression for CP is not shared once eligible to earn it.


Pros
More character slots and everything else that comes with it. (As in too many to list)

Basicly, Alt accounts only good for additional pack mules?

Just bought a second copy last week for $14.99 on Bundle Starz. $28.00 is cool and all but compared to $14.99 last week I'm not impressed. The main reason I wanted an alt account was to bounce the bloat to a separate account while I'm grinding, for decon later, and to let friends try the game out to see if they like it before they buy it themselves.

Just a FYI, sharing an account is a bannable offence. So be careful.

Right, didn't know that! I don't share accounts. I left my computer open and somebody else posted that as a joke. It was just a sick, horrible joke!

this only applies to console (it's just how microsoft and sony set this up). If you're PC, you will need to buy the game again for another account.

Pros:
- more bank space and bag space (and the cheaper early upgrades again)
- more characters if you enjoy making different characters
- you can join 5 other guilds on your second account if you want access to selling in more guild stores or what not

provided you have two computers you can log in on simultaneously with your two different accounts:
- you can travel to yourself
- If you don't like random people asking you to group you can group with yourself and then no one can ask you.

Cons:
- your crown store purchases and dyes won't be available across both accounts, so you'll have to buy items again or do achievements again if you want those things on your new characters

- you'll have to log out completely and relogin with your other account to switch between those characters, so it takes a little more time.

- your bank won't be shared so to get items to your other account's characters you will have to mail things which costs a little, or you have to have 2 computers that can run ESO simultaneously so you can meet up with yourself to trade (and of course the tedious process of trading just 5 items at a time)

- if you have crafting or inventory addons that tell you what your other characters have done, they probably aren't going to share information between the two accounts, so you'll have to make external notes if you're looking for recipes for a character on another account, or wondering if you're crafter on the other account has already researched something, etc.
