Championship Ranks

I hope this is the right place - Mods if not then please move accordingly but do tell me where you have moved it!

Can someone please explain in plain simple English the Ranking system for the Champion points. So far I am gaining points and spending them on the bottom four possibilities because above that I am told that 'this is available after Rank 2 or 3 or whatever! Trouble is I cannot see any Ranking system dsplayed so I have no idea what 'Championship Rank' I am.

How it works there are 3 constellations per category, there are 3 categories.

I know you know this much.

Then in each constellation you have a choice of 4 different passives. The other passives will not cost you points to unlock, they will automatically be active once you have spent each specific amount (10, 30, 75 etc) in total amongst the 4 different passives.

So to get the 10 point passive, it doesn't matter how you spent the 10 points between the 4 earlier (base) passives, as long as you did spend 10 in that constellation.

It's better to think of them as "meta passives" that are unlocked the more points you put into that tree. There are 4 lines to invest in and 4 meta skills that unlock as you spend points within a given constellation tree.

So within that lover constellation, for example, at the very bottom it will say "The Lover XXX" where XXX is the # of CP's you've spent in the tree and your "rank".

You can also see this number when you're cycling through all of the constellations when you've moused over one of them. It will have some # next to the name indicating how many points you've spent in that particular constellation and therefore your rank in it.

If you move your cursor to the top left after opening your character screen and hover it over the bar that indicates your Champion Point level progress, it will tell you what rank you're currently at.
There may be an easier way, but that's usually what I do.

Wykydd Toolbar and Slighty Improved Experience Bar addons have your CP rank viewable also.

Folks - I am still a little puzzled

I have just looked at my 'championship points' in order to spend some. I notice that the top items are only (for example) unlocked at 'Lovers Rank 30'. I still cannot find any indication of what Rank I currently am?
I can see how many points I have (although even there they appear to be split into two).

So despite the superb and helpful answers above - I am still not sure where to look or my championship standing.

Anyone help please?
