I am sooo happy! I did the EB first time around, killing Molag Bal and hitting VR1.Loved it.BUT when I talked to Cadwell,I had no clue what was about to happen to me when I said sure! I'll see what its like for my enemies.
I wound up in Glenumbra where I had done my first character and didnt know any better.I made a second one in EB and wound up in Glenumbra again.I deleted him,and went on to do AD.Been there every since. This time,I made it to vet in AD,and wound up in lovely Stonefells. Man,made me happy.I can run that place so easily, but now it will be a challenge at V1 levels.
I be happy as a clam!!
(I bet if I did DC all the way through,Id wind up in AD)

You always go through the other two zones counter-clockwise. E.g. for EP, it is first DC, then AD, for DC it is first AD then EP, for AD it is first EP then DC.

I highly, highly recccomend doing every singel quest in Silver + Gold, so that when they transfer VR to CP you'll have done them once and will then never have to go through them again!
I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!

I know the feeling^^ I'm an EP fan but have one DC character; with her I got the EP zones in "gold".
This was more challenging than EP in low level zones (which I've done between 8 and 13 times), I had my skills maxed when I arrived there, and the zones were pretty much empty (even in Mournhold/Deshaan!), so I got to harvest and loot all the stuff I knew already because no one was around to get it before I did.
But the best of all: I felt like being "back home" again :)

Ahh, the joys of cadwells... its sometimes relly interesting to see how things are at veteran ranks. Especially fights you remember because this or that character had trouble with them - sometimes its quite surprising how different characters do. Sometimes not.

Even though with the new reduced expee costs for veteran ranks one is pretty sure to overlevel everything a bit... my recent toons tend to hit V5 at the end of the V3 area or so abouts... meaning cadwells will almost certainly take me to V14 in the end without much trouble, i expect.
Much nicer then back in the 1400000 xp-per-v-rank times, where I often had to do a little cyrodil dailies just to raise the rank so I could use next regions dropped gear...

One less then grand thing for the rotation is for EP crafters - since AD has no dwemer ruin in their last zone where you can farm scrap, pages -and- expees. But that#s not much of a biggie anyhow I suppose (besides, my crafting alt is DC, and got all the dwemer stuff learned by now)

Anyways, revisiting the zones can be a lot of fun too, and every so often you may just discovere a little detail you didn't notice the first time. Even if its just some mages guild book lying in a corner or something.

But it can also be fun to see just how much you can do on your lonesome sometimes... with storyline regions, you can always come and solo some dolmen or boss when overlevel. Hadrder in cadwells to do that... thus you often learn more if you do those as training exercise...

I've just finished Cadwell's gold on my main and now he has all of Wrothgar to enjoy. I won't mind if none of my other VR characters have to do it - once is quite enough! I've done all the quests (including even the smallest side quests), got Master Angler on him as well, but I was very pleased to get it all done, not least as he did the last two zones as v16 so was massively overpowered for the content.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend, my Shining Light. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

I'm DC and yeah, Silver is AD for me, which I loathe with every fiber of my being. It has completely destroyed any desire I have to level past VR1 on any of my alts. I hate ZOS so much for this!

I hate AD zones and quests. The landscape is horrid, hard to navigate, too many obstacles and all the quests are either about pompous elves or treehugging hippies and drug addicts. I've avoided gold zone on all my EP toons, been leveling up in Cyrodiil instead. Did it once on my AD sorc, not doing it again.

Egonieser - v16 Nord Stamina Dragonborn Wannabe
Endoly - v16 Tiny Redguard Sharpened MaceBlade
Egosalina - v16 Breton Cheesus Beam Specialist
Egowen - v16 Dunmer Whipping Expert (Riding crops eluded her)

When the going gets to AD, the tough keep going! ;)

But I have to admit, I kinda like the AD zones least of all... but what one doesn't do for reaching lofty heights of veteran rankings...

You will always be able to return to Auridon.Even during Silver and Gold. You can go to anywhere you went to before. You will wind up in Stonefalls when Cadwell gives you the choice question. To get to Glenumbra, you'll need to start a new character in Stonefalls for Cadwell to send you there after you kill Molag Bal.
As to what is Glenumbra like? I'm sure you'll love it.
For some reason I dont. But others here love it.Lol! And,thing is,I dont know what I hate so much about it.It is huge,so many quests everywhere, but I just dont like them.I think the reason I cant stand it is because I love the community in Auridon. It always feels so friendly, with people all over the place.Always willing to fight along with you in a delve, even if they dont group with you.But most will. When I got into Silver and had to go there with another character,I was so sad and lonely because it was mostly unpopulated.Stonefalls isnt real friendly either, but it is the easiest I have found for leveling a new Character.I can run through it so quickly.Great fun quests though. It's my 2nd fave place to be.Well,3rd,now,with Orsinium being 2nd .
    Please,those of you who love DC,remember,it's just my feelings about it,not telling anyone not to like it. :}

Glenumbra is awesome! I always start in DC, and it just feels homely. AD is too airy-fairy for me personally, but I like EP almost as much as DC (mainly because of all the Morrowind/Skyrim memories)

Oh no, so that means that, if you start in Auridon, you wont ever get sent to Glenumbra? that sucks a bit, I thought that once you are VR you can go pretty much anywhere! Thank you very much for the explanation!

I agree, Auridon is awesome, people are really friendly!
At the main wayshrine in Auridon you can often find people making a "party" and having a good time together, and if by some chance you meet them later in the game you make a party again and get all excited! xD (by making a party I mean, we dance, fall to the ground, show our skills and use the weirdest emotes we can), and its true, even if you are not in a group and if you end up having a tough time somewhere, there is almost always someone that jumps in to help, plus people seem to really know how to do team work, there were quite a few times when I finished dolmens only with one other person (alone I can only finish dolmens by half then I die because I suck at gaming xD)

Going to see if today I will finally be able to get the last main mission and then move on to Stonefalls!!! :#

Assume you are a member of the Daggerfall Covenant for this section.
    • Cadwell's Silver will begin as it does now. following the end of the Main Quest. But:
      • As soon as you arrive in the starter city of Vulkhel Guard, the following text appears on-screen: New Task: Cadwell's Silver - Experience the Aldmeri Dominion.
      • Cadwell's Silver is then removed/hidden from the Journal. This is so that the quest is not there hanging over you if you don't want to do it. (Progress tracking in Cadwell's Almanac proceeds as normal.)
      • A projection of Cadwell invites you to visit the Aldmeri version of the Harborage to return to your own alliance. There's a projection of him in the Aldmeri Harborage as well, with the same dialogue he would have if you met him in the normal (Daggerfall) Harborage.
      • Activating the Light of Meridia in the Aldmeri Harborage returns you to the Daggerfall Harborage, where Cadwell is waiting... with a new quest for you.
    • Cadwell's Gold will begin as soon as you return to the Daggerfall Harborage after your initial trip to the Dominion lands. Cadwell's dialogue here ("Well, you've experienced two of the three alliances. Care to finish the set?[...]") does not need to be changed, as you have still technically experienced two alliances.
      • As before, as soon as you arrive in Davon's Watch, you get a New Task: Cadwell's Gold - Experience the Ebonheart Pact.
      • Cadwell's Gold is removed/hidden from the Journal to avoid clutter.
    • You now have access to both Cadwell areas without being required to complete one of them first, aside from visiting the first city and leaving again.
    • Returning to any version of the Harborage gives you access to the Light of Meridia. Activate it whenever you like to be given a choice of alliances to visit. eg, press E for Dominion, F for Pact or X for Covenant.
    • If either section of Cadwell's Almanac is completed, you see Task Completed: Cadwell's Silver/Gold - You have completed the Dominion/Pact section of Cadwell's Almanac. At this time, the relevant quest reappears in the Journal for you to turn in to Cadwell in the Daggerfall Harborage. Turn in works as it does now.
