How much Magicka/Stamina recover do you atleast wanna have for PvP?

I switched my Magicka Recovery Mundus for the Spell Damage one.
And Im at 2900 Spell Damage with 1650 Magicka Recovery now, wondering if that is enough recovery thought.0 -

✭Just fight for a few hours and you'll have your answer. If you find yourself thinking "dammit oom again ffs" then you need more regen. I have 1900 regen and would like more but can't let my spell damage drop much more. It's at 2988 buffed and there are sorcs that hit me harder than I can hit them. I wear 2 pieces of heavy which means I lose out on ~100 regen. Cost reduction glyphs can reduce the amount of regen you need but I haven't played with them since 1.6.PC | EU0 -

there's no magic number for magika recovery, just as long as you're not running out of resources you've got enough recovery and can play with getting more max mag or spell dam until you find a balance that suits your playstyle
I run 2600 mag recovery on my magblade, which is a lot, but lets me get away with generous use of cloak and healing ward without me ever needing to heavy attack or pop a magika potion, which suites my play style just fine0 -
Spearshard✭✭✭✭I have about 900, really low compared to everyone else, but with siphon attacks, I only run low when I forget to refresh it. With the CP people put into magic resist I try to stack as much spell power as I can to keep up. With 35k magica (and I don't even have undaunted boost yet) I don't have many issues. Like they said, there is no magic number.0

You also are assumed to have maxed out cost reduction in champion tree and no where else. If you have more redux out of enchants or a set bonus, you can go lower.
Its the formula ive used since I can remember.
Ergo - if you have 32000 magicka, /20 = 1600 recovery.
And so on.
Once you hit that point, all-in to the damage of your choosing. in this case spell damage.
Stam recovery should follow a similar rule, even if its your off-resource. Such as on a magicka sorc with say 14000 stamina, you should have close to 700 stam recovery if you can get there.
My sorc currently runs 1950 recovery on a 39100 pool, with 3550 buffed spell damage. I also run 16400 stam with 670 recovery. (but points into roll dodge and block cost, just a few) This is about optimal for my personal playstyle (anything else feels off)

zornyan✭✭✭✭✭I think it's very subjective to class and playstyle, I've seem sorcs do vetmsa with 800 recovery, and I've PvPed with 900 recovery successfully before on my templar.
But then my playstyle is rush in, hit hard and fast and kill them quick, so I don't need the recovery, the extra damage allows me to kill people very quickly.0 -

✭✭✭✭I like minimum of 1600 on my magics sorc. Then stack spell power.
Magica templar, I go with 1800 recovery. I support the group a lot more with heals. I'm vamp and have an ability slotted on both bars, so don't sacrifice spell power really.
Stam Dk I'm at 1600ish, bug use engine guardian so sustain isn't an issue. If not for that, I'd go higher due to roll dodging/break free.
About to start a magica NB, so will see what's what with that
