deciding wether its worth playing this anymore, constant crashing

This is/was my favorite game ever, but lately since either latest patch update or upgrading to windows 10 or upgrading to 27 inch monitor i constantly crash. I alt tab out to chuck some music on then go back into eso then the game crashes and i get that error reporting. But the new favorite at the moment is, ill log in, select character then it will start loading then the eso symbol stops moving and i have to alt tab or in most cases ctrl alt delete . It is driving me mental, sometimes it brings me into the game and i can move around for 20 seconds then it crashes. I have turned my graphics settings right down, going to medium sub sampling, all the nice textures details set to low and even turned my resolution right down. but im still having the same problem. Is anyone else encountering this? I have googled it and have noticed alot of people are having the same problem. It really sucks i just want to play my favorite game but it constantly crashes. Im so loyal to this game that i have tried to load it 10 times and restarted 4 times and not having any luck.But my loyalty is slowly running thin because im unable to play which means slowly losing interest, which i dont want.

Any insights or anyone encountering the same dramas as me

It's been crashing for me quite a bit too lately. I basically have to Task Manager my way out of the game each time and then log back into it, usually at the most inopportune times (i.e. in combat or whenever).

My speciality is crash when I get of my horse lol.

Yeah i feel your pain trust me. It really sucks, and i have very limited time playing it having a family and a full time job. When i have a moment of peace to myself (usually after kids gone to sleep late at night) i want to get on and have a go for a bit, but when it keeps crashing its so frustating and makes me lose interest.

have you tried launching your game from the file and not through the launcher? when i load through the launcher i get 7 FPS and can't interact with anything, so I have to close out of it and open it from the file, and it runs between 15-30 FPS, nearly 40 in a delve on a good day

I was experiencing a frustrating number of stalls, crashes, etc... It was really ruining the game for me... While support tried to be helpful, they often sent me bug-fixes for Win-doze, which were mistranslated into OSX-ese...
I've found lately that "/reloadui" is my best friend. Also, if you don't rush through content, you give your machine time to digest all of the robust content that ZOS provides....

It's a plot of almost all ot hem.

The lord of changes (Dagon) change your game files all at random so when game looks for something that should be there and can't find, it crashes. This makes you angry, also because of Dagon's influence.

You ask Meridia for help and she buries you with tons of informations of tweaks and possible fixes. You try everything and because of no real solution, you get mad, and our favorite Prince delights himself with the fact (Sheogorath).

Then you try your luck with Clavicus Vile and instead of fix your game, he makes your PC stop working at all, that way you don't complain anymore.

Without your PC you go to a bar and drink you a** out along with Sanguine and desperate, decide to try once again to fix your game crashing.

Then you realize that Clavicus screwed the whole OS, and possessed by the Molag Bal, you punch you hardware phisically breaking it.

I could go further but I don't know the others too well.

This is why i didn't take the free upgrade to win 10. Ill wait a year hoping updates will fix the problems with certain games.

I took the free upgrade and used it for more than a month. The first week was awesome, ugly as hell, but stable and fast. After that I couldn't even open the Start menu to shutdown my PC anymore.

It's like... I don't know, if it's more tied to Live than we're able to disconnect by using Local Accounts. I've got a bit Sheogorath-ish and downgraded back to 7.

Yeah its probably windows 10. i can get to character selection screen then i chose a char then it crashes

Windows 10 could well be the culprit, but as it sounds as if the problem may have started with the last patch, make sure that you have no unsupported addons installed. If they haven't been updated they may have compatibility issues. In any event, for trouble-shooting you could disable all addons.

Ive had similar problems but since I switch to Nvidea driver 335.60 crashing has become rare.

You can download the Nvidea 355.60 driver here (64-bit version).

Downloading takes a while so dont remove your current driver until the download has completed.

I havent had any crashes yet.I have had a few freeze ups,but if I leave the screen along,dont try to force any movement,it will unfreeze in a minute.
