The Animal Crossing games are pretty much nothing but housing, and sell rather well. And a bit draw to Elder Scrolls games as far back as Morrowind was housing as well. Side games and non-combat activities are REALLY important to MMOs in general.Housing is IMO only cool for guilds.

The fact is that Cyrodil is unique concept, show me one mass-PVP 3 faction game with siege mechanism? I can show you half dozen with Arena. So, they should indeed keep improving Cyrodil and makes it the best possible. Cyrodil Improving means growing, Arena means stagnating for the game.
warhammer online.
10 year old?
I'd improve Cyrodil landscape, I'd make different Castles for each alliance, own siege weapons as well, I'd add Ladders, Mammoths as gate-destroyers, Siege Towers, I'd add Castle Upgrades for each castle, so theres variety, no more grinding the same old keeps and castles. That should rock people's socks out! Add some Arena and everyone just goes boo.

Some really nice ideas there, especially mammoths.

Hate to break it to you but this is an RPG and the RP population is pretty strong (at least on PC).
If all you do is pvp then I understand the narrow viewpoint but you need to understand that there are a lot of other playstyles around here and they should get their needs met, too.
Well I guess the majority of these role players are thinking that since you can marry someone in this game already, next it is only fitting to go to their player house and consummate the marriage?
They would most likely be diffrent instances.Interesting to see how they do Housing, are we sent to some private island or realm or they just put them on normal zones. I personally hope both, I think it'd be cool if there was some unique houses on normal zones too, rare but only the best of the best earn those, really some high-end gold sink, but the rest are sent to private island/realm.

I could understand this if it was ever implemented and I would be all for having a safe place to log out. Taverns would be more useful and would be a focal part of the game to roleplayers. But it isn't a part of the game play. Housing would be redundant in a month because you would have nothing to do with it. Bit like IC is to PvP players.
Can we get an option to burglarize the houses?
WitchyWarrior wrote: »Did they mention anything about how you would get whatever you need for housing? I mean, I assume they didn't go into any details like that.
I'm asking because I am a poor soul. So I can only get things in game, not by buying crowns. I'm hoping they will continue with the idea of anything in the crown store can be found in game as well.
