The Real Progression Problem

Experience.

You can put any kind of progression and levelling system, what makes it painful is how the experience is earned.

Veteran Ranks should be either removed or transformed into level 66. That leaves us with the traditional progression and CP.

Achievements should be account wide as well, or at least have motifs unlocked for all characters once you complete it on one.

CP, dyes and costumers are account wide, why not achievements? I play Covenant and PVP most of the day, you know how many filthy Orcs I killed? 3. It's a disgrace. Nobody is playing Orcs in the other factions, how will I get to fullfill my dream and kill 100 Orcs? Perharps if my EP character achievements counted for my DC as well.

Once all this is out of the way, people will feel keen to progress their account perks instead of put all bets in one character. For instance people who made their mains to be Argonians NB, designing a build centered around potion usage, these players got their whole tactic destroyed. What about all achievements and unlocks (motifs, alliance ranks) they put in that character that is now "useless". Serves them well for picking such an inferior race, but it's hardly fair.

Now, people have a reason to progress, enhance their accounts (like GW2 or SWTOR), you have to make them enjoy progressing. Why the hell are trials or VDSA NOT giving monstrous amounts of XP? Or dungeons for that matter. Since we have to grind for the CP anyways, make it through these group contents. It will motivate people to group and actually take advantage of what you designed.

Crafting should give XP as well. And PVP, should give tons of XP. Why are you holding back XP on those areas? Fear players will just craft 24/7 to attain max level? So what? Let it be! You can argue that people will be handed maxed level characters easy and fast with that much increase in XP, but how does it concerns you anyways? If a person doesn't develop skills, they won't be a threat for you in PVP anyways.

ZOS, raise the XP for the actual content, and I mean skyrocket it. Make it that a player who can complete all activities will be able to get plenty of CPs a day.

No. That would suck all the fun out of playing alts. I'm currently working on getting General Executioner on my second character, and I will start fishing with her as soon as my main gets Master Angler. If the achievement were account-wide, there would be no point in doing that.

Also, 1000 chest achievement on my third character. I wish ZOS would introduce a 5000 chest one...

i am a orc in EP EU Xbone ;)
but i don't agree with achiefments account wide. they already shared the dyes account wide which is for me the bigger reward of it. why should a lvl 3 at have dragonstar arena champion title or tamriel hero title. doesn't make sence to hae those titles after 3 seconds in the game.
and give us alchemy poisons plz im not the only one who wants this. there are enough PvE/RP players who want this and it would be nice for pvp aswell. although i think you shouldn't be able to just purge it maybe a skill in alchemy to cure poisoning?

There are far more reasons to play alts than that one.

The player earned the right to use the title. Besides a lot of lv.3 are running on bear outfits unlocked in Wrothgar.

titles and outfits are a differt thing though although i don't agree with that, it's a desicion ZoS had made long time before so it would do more harm then good to change that.

Sure, but different players have different goals. Some people just want a max level character asap so they can try a different build. Others find it fun to get all the skyshards, dolmens and world bosses again, or earning the achievements one more time.

Also, EP orc here too. Though she's not a PvP character yet, she should be going to Cyrodiil soon for the Skyshards/Delves/Quests.

Then a good approach would be certain achievements character only and other achievements account wide.

Or maybe have a separate "Account Achievements" section (kind of like the X-Box and PS achievements/trophies), that aggregates all the achievements earned individually by all your characters (but one character would have to earn the full achievement, no splitting), and leave the "per character" section as is for each character.

you kinda have this already with the bigger achiefments on steam and xbox... and i think ps4 has it's trophies so i see no reason for this

Achievements as account wide is great idea, at least there should be an option for that, I understand if some people like to do them for every char.

Well, some people may play on PC and may have bought the game before it was out on Steam...

But personally, I am fine with the achievements being as they are.
