How to avoid spell danage?

I want to know if if every weapon style (s&b dw 2h) can block spell damage by holding block. Also, is there a way to dodge a spell cause for me if i dodge roll behind a wall, the spell will go through and hit me like a heat-seeker.

Block mitigation and dodge works on almost everything including all projectile spells.

Try defensive stance from S/B line. Sometimes it's really useful. When u meet a caster.

I'm wondering if there's any list of spells it's not working against?

Moves like curses will by pass such things.

To increase spell resist you have:

Standard armor rating
Nirnhoned objects
Spell resist from Champion points such as elemental defender, hardy, and spell shield
Potions and abilities can give minor and majors that apply spell resist
Racial passive, brenton
Light armor passives and class specific passives

That's allI can think of at the moment. You'll have a harder time finding physical resist.

Armour sets that specifically give you spell resistance and physical resistance like footman, armour master and various others...

You can dodge roll out of the way of a spell however just blocking mitigates a load of damage,

For instance against sorcs, when you see that you have curse on if you block you will notice that only around half of the actual damage hits..

defensive posture on the S&B line lowers the cost of blocking just by being on the bar,
if you cast it it actually can reflect the spell back,
NOT ALL spells are reflected..
