Valkyn Skoria with Sorcerers

Do Sorcerer abilities like Ligtning Splash and Lightning Form act as DoT's or just fast-ticking AoEs? I'm asking this for the purpose of things like Valkyn Skoria.

✭✭For sorcs its better to go with Nerienths in my experience.
Liquid Lighting is not enough to get a high proc rate from Skoria.
Boundless Storm requires you to be close to the target which is usually not the best idea for light armor builds.
Skoria is custom made for DKs who have a lot of different DoTs from Fiery Breath, Searing Strike, Burning Talons, Ash Cloud and Standard of Might.

I use Skoria when running dungeons and it does fine. Granted I swap to a full non-Skoria DPS build at bosses but for clearing trash mobs between each one it works perfectly fine. Bats + Impulse + Boundless + Liq Lightning gives me a decent proc rate.0
