We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Is your original main now your crafter?

My first character does some crafting (and is maxed out on Blacksmithing). He is also the one character that will know all the recipes, someday anyway.

However, my second character is my crafter. She is at 50 in all crafts and fully allocated with skill points in crafting, other than some Keen Eye and Snakeblood.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I have no main crafter, as the skills are spread out across multiple chars.
Every character I roll levels at least two of the main crafting skills that I use the most, likely his weapon and alchemy.

My main has a few levels in clothing and blacksmithing because my original plan was to spread the crafts out between my characters as I have in other games.

But not long after I started I found I was never willing to put skill points into crafting so I switched to having 1 character whose main job is to be a crafter, he has just enough combat skills to get him through basic PvE content so he can get skyshards (and may get more later) but crafts are the first priority.

Yes, my first character, a khajiit Nightblade, has pretty much been retired to crafting. I just don't enjoy playing it anymore.

My original char is my crafter.
My first V16 character was a NB, and she is a 9 trait crafter across the board. My second toon was a DK, and he is my alchemist, provisioner, enchanter. My Third was a templar, and doesnt craft much of anything. All are maxed in the disciplines for hireling/writ purposes. I also have a V1 Sorc that is maxed for those as well. She is an AD toon so we don't often speak of her. She is mule for the pact (a pact mule if you will). Haha

My DK is my main PVE DPS toon, my Templar is my healer, and my NB is my PVP/Arena toon at the moment. The NB had been on the shelf for a while, but this patch brought her back to life. Currently my DK is least used because there really arent trial runs going anymore (LEVEL THEM TO 16 ALREADY), and its easier to run dailies on my NB then to switch my V16 gold gear between toons. I am plugging through the main quest on my DK in wrothgar, but he doesnt need gear for that...

Was planning on splitting duties with my templar alt, but scrapped that idea when node scaling was introduced. So my main is now my clothier, blacksmith, woodworker, alchemist and provisioner. 9 traits in all light and 9 traits in heavy chest, legs and head, 9 traits in fire and resto staff :)

lol. I kind of like the thought that the main characters "retired" and are now spending their days crafting away. It's nice.

My original char is my crafter.
Original plan was to spread out the crafting skills on different chars, but then I saw how long it took me to level one char to v10/12/14. So I decided to have one char be capable of all crafting skills and that is of course my main (who has the most skillpoints because I did every quest, collected every skyshard, ...). I have since leveld a second char to max and she is also capable of crafting everything, except I didn't learn the traits because I don't wanna.

My original character is a DK orc, so yes.. he is now my dedicated craftsman.

Kinda wish he had some fighting ability though so I could farm Laurel on him. *sigh*

just because the sheen amout of time it takes to get all traits it's logic that most people use their main for crafting. only craft my main doesn't do is enchanting thats on my 2nd char and im not doing those 50 levels over that is way to mutch work. rather do all other craft over then one more time enchanting without someone else to trade glyps with

My original main is def my crafter. Because I started research and used motifs/recipes on them way before I started my alts. So for the time it takes on researching it made sense to me to make it my crafter. Plus since my first toon did every quest/gained every skill point from quest/collected all shards. I have plenty of SP for all all the skills/passives I use and some. With that said. My first toon is still my main toon I play with. Although I spread play time with my other 6 v16 toons. My first/main still is the toon I run most.

I made my first character a fat Imperial with the intention of playing him as a unscrupulous, grubby merchant in RP. He's done all my crafting since day one and has fulfilled his role perfectly. I really like my first character.

Absolutely. I was learning the game and learned a TON about what I did and didn't want to do in regard to play style. At the same time, I learned that trying to play without crafting was very unrealistic. So I dumped all my accumulated skill points into crafting and made my guinea pig a slave to my other more well-thought-out characters.

My original main is my crafter, I spent a lot of gold on her motif's and she's a max enchanter, blacksmith, woodworker, and clothier. Sadly I made her a Nord DK back when that wasn't a death sentence. I do the occasional dungeon with her, but I've been forced to retire her mostly to being my crafter. If it wouldn't cost me so much to replace her motif's I would reroll her an Imperial, or pay for the race change if they ever bring it to the crown store. If they did that, I would be so elated.
Grand Master Crafter, Beta baby who grew with the game. PC/NA. @Sheezabeast if you have crafting needs!
