Fix harvesting in Wrothgar or make every zone the same as Wrothgar.

I feel that harvesting in Wrothgar is broken, why ? simply stated, in every other zone the nodes are player level controlled, but in Wrothgar they a crafting level based.

Its not wrong, just make all zones crafting level based.

Wrothgar is the first and only zone available to players of all levels. With such a diverse player field, the tie of harvesting to crafting passives makes sense. Making all zones like Wrothgar penalizes high level crafters, since they would no longer have access to lower tier mats.

The answer to Wrothgar harvesting isn't to wreck the other zones, it's put skill points in your passives so you can harvest what you want. Just because you don't want to do this, doesn't mean the system is broken.

You just can't throw points into passive's to be able to harvest a node you want.

You have to level up the skill line to gain those passive improvements.

Wrothgar is a scaled zone, so if you are a low level you can quest and play.

All I'm saying is change the other zones to that same style.

No one like's seeing a Vr16 in a lower level zone sweeping up nodes like a vac. use a low level alt to get those nodes.

No. In the zone where all levels play and are all scaled, it makes sense to have some sort of node scaling (whether or not you agree with how exactly it was implemented). In the zones that are scaled to specific levels, it would make no sense to have any sort of node scaling. If the other zones had node scaling like Wrothgar then you wouldn't be able to go and gather whichever level of mats you want for whatever level character you plan on crafting some stuff for.

And if you don't like seeing a vet rank character grabbing nodes in a low level zone, too bad. Not everyone has low level alts, but some people do a lot of crafting for friends and guildies with low levels.

I think that's a bad idea. It's nice that in Wrothgar I'm able to get mats that are leveled to my crafting abilities, but I don't want that in other zones. What if I want to store higher level mats (as I do in Craiglorn) for other toons that haven't gotten that high yet? What if I want to get LOWER level mats to help out new toons?

No, I'm sorry. Bad idea. If you want to farm and Wrothgar doesn't have what you need because of your crafting level, there are plenty of other zones that do.

I think its a great idea...BUT they need to make it so that I get a higher chance for highest tier mats, its pretty difficult as it is now. Like I have YET to find v16 potency runes, which sucks because I can only get the stones by farming telvar stones, I can't enjoy the new content until my new gear is crafted! Plus the amount of time it took me to gather 940 rubedo leather was about a week. Logging on EVERY NIGHT just to farm stones for three hours a night. And that's just to get the gear crafted. Still need impossibly expensive upgrade mats (yellow), impossibly hard to find kuta. And the all famous rediculously low agility rings drop. (I'd be happy with arcane)!! So they need work on detensifying the RNG for mats...bad takes so many yellow mats, but as a full crafter (everything maxed) I'd be lucky to get three yellows a week from writs/ nodefarming/ decon/ hirelings/ refining....the endless grind list goes on!

Why do you call the current mechanic broken? It is not. Wrothgar is just different from the other zones. The crafting is following the same rule set as the rest of Wrotgar and as such makes perfect sense.

Your idea is short sighted and not well thought through

As a crafter your idea would destroy my ability to make anyone armour.

I keep a stock of around 200 of each tier of each material. Occasionally, when things are quiet, I restock the ones I am down on.

Having nodes in low levels scale to my characters level would mean I would need to buy these materials from the various auctuion houses.

No longer would I be able to outfit any player for free. My crafting skills would be for purly personal use. Ie a waste of time and effort

When you buy the game, you pay for all content. It doesn't matter what the character level is. I will go wherever I have access to get the resources I need. In a sense, we have earned that right by completing the content. It's presumptuous to say everyone agrees high level characters should stay out of low level zones, just because you feel that way.

Like has been said. Wrothgar is fine. Other zones are fine too, high level crafters sometimes need low level mats to craft for friends and guildies.

If I go through wrothgar with my crafting character, yay for the drops, I get a neat load of red stuff all around, and some sand too now and then.
If I go through wrothgar with my main character who didn't spend her skill points in those crafts but cooks instead, I just don't bother with the crafting nodes, got enough iron and jute in the bank for now.
This is as it ought to be.

There is no reason to fix anything, anywhere.

The only thing I'd like to see is every node scale up rather than just 30%. I see no reason why a zone should provide a mix of levels.

Except from ZoS wanting to maintain the grind that is the major reason people venture into IC...

I would only like to see Ruby Mats in whrothgar if your max lvl,.

this void stuff is annoying,. i get the reason to why (cuz building v16 gear is probably meant to be difficult so we spend more time online),. but it doesnt make the experience more enjoyable
