That is the stuck in combat bug. If you get addons, you can easily see when you are in combat, as in this game, it can happen minutes after an encounter.Sometimes, I dream about...cheese...

You can also just open your inventory briefly, as the surround of the screen will flash red whilst you're in combat.I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!

You cannot hide while in combat though, although there are possibly a few exceptions at best but usually this is the case so usually if you are able to start going hidden you are already out of combat.

Flameheart✭✭✭✭✭Being still in combat for a while concerns especially healers in PvP, but it's nothing I would call a bug, in combat is in combat -> no mounting.Sometimes the prey turns and nips us... it's a small thing.
So let the snow flakes and unicorns dance alone until they melt or vanish from existence, we will finish up with those smart enough to stay in the glowing circle of love.

✭If the combat engagement is the issue preventing mounting, if worth the suggestion, this should be shorter, not only in PvP.
For example: I'm running around Wrothgar's wilderness on my horse for quite some time now, trying to find more Ancestor Silk (hey ZOS, can you plant more of them with today's patch? Pretty please? <_<) and thus I don't bother stopping and killing every single mob on my way, I just pass through.
But the terrain in Wrothgar is sometimes a pain and it's not rare see me slipping in a nasty and not-so-shallow water and getting unmounted. But the mobs that smelled me 5000 miles away are still pursuing me and, obviously, I can't mount. I'm forced to stand still, wait the mob to hit me or then I make the move and do a light attack in one of them, then I'm finally disengaged of combat and I'm able to be on my way again.
99% of the times this is just annoying, but what if I've just jumped one of holy-mother-crap high mountains, losing 99.5% of my HP (it happens to me... A LOT >.<) and coincidentally one of the mobs pursuing me is a mage, hits me faster than I'm able to regen or even raise shields and I then die?
It's a very small and puny thing that could be improved

Ethona✭✭✭I'm sick of playing games on out-dated broken game engines by studios (really most of them out there today) that don't EVER care to do right for their IP and their paying gamers. I'm sick at knowing it will be 5 years before any MMORPG Direct x 12 full 64bit game is release. I'm sick of having to overly spec out my gaming computers every 3 to 5 years with 3000 dollars in hardware just to force a bad and broken game to run over 60fps while game studios continue to ignore the advancments made in api such as DX12.2 -

I stay in combat for 15 minutes. Or more. Sometimes.

But as far as the topic of discussion goes, If I'm in combat and can not mount, I just run. I have an addon that lets me know when i am out of combat then i just mount then.

Lol, I don't plan on leaving yet. I played Destiny for a bit and they are just as bad as these guys on updating what needs to be fixed.0 -
