Please nerf passive part of Flawless Dawnbreaker (example to 2% from 8% on rank 4). 300+ free passive weapon damage is very seductive with good damage on use Ultimate and low cost.
At rank 4 it forced to be must have on panel for stamina melee build in pve. It destroy variative to use any other ultimate on panel.

    Your trolling right? To begin with nobody is forcing you to use it although an ultimate skill designed for a guild of "fighters" should probably have some worthwhile effect on people who fight with stamina considering the "mages" guild clearly caters to magic users. Second there is this cool function called weapon switch which allows you to have 2 possible ultimates on your build so if you choose to run it on both bars for the buff that is your choice but like many things in this game their are pros and cons. Pro here being damage buff cons being you don't get to have a different ultimate.

    There are many more arguments flying through my head right now but I'm pretty sure your trying to get a reaction so I will leave it here.

    Flawless Dawnbreaker should only increase your base weapon damage with no buff's. Once you start stacking weapon damage buff's that passive become's a huge advantage.

    I would actually recommend the ultimate just grant you 100 weapon damage. That way you can't scale your weapon damage so it grants almost 400 weapon damage. A little crazy for just a passive.

    I thought of a fix. Passive major weapon damage buff on slotting...yay no more HAVE TO HAVE TWO HANDER, been waiting for a fix like that for awhile...so *** tired of two handed needing to be on your off bar to be competitive...

    I actually think this skill is really well balanced...
    It provides Weapon Damage, but deals Magic Damage.
    Most Stamina builds won't dump many points into Thaumaturge, so they will get mediocre damage from this Ulti & the builds that do stack Thaum' are likely Magicka based, so get little benefit from Wep Damage buff and therefore chose the Smiting morph.
    I actually find it funny when Stam builds use this ability on me in Cyro

    Erm every single ultimate in the game is magic damage, except dragon leap. So kinda nullifies your point.

    Even though they are magic damage they still scale with weapon power and stamina, for instance soul assault of my magicka build has a tooltip of 39k damage, but on my stam dps build it had a tooltip of 47k damage.

    So? It is an ultimate, it takes some time to get it (level 10 in FG which is a lot of dolmens and daedra)

    But, you know, Mages guild has other 2 nice skills you can use too (entropy and the passive might of the guild) which can rise you spell power/dmg way higher than FD.

    Are you by chance a stamina templar? My stamina nb and stamina dk both have ultimates that can be much better than dawnbreaker, depending on the fight.

    Thing is: Dawnbreaker does Magic Damage, meaning Magicka Builds get a lot out of it

    But since it's an Ultimate, it doesn't have a Stamina Morph, so to fix that ZOS gave Flawless Dawnbreaker the extra Weapon Damage % to compensate for it
