The Maelstrom's Shield - is it lackluster?

Well, here it is:
I'm really disappointed in this item. It doesn't really seem like it's too worth while - certainly not on the same level as the Maelstrom weapons.
What is everyone else's thoughts on this thing?

@ZOS_RichLambert . The Maelstrom sword and shield would both have been made better if the sword was also granted set piece status.
That being said, permafrost isn't super excited and glory seems downright bad.Rest in Peace:

✭✭✭@ZOS_RichLambert , maybe you should let players enchant shields with jewelry enchantments.
There is precedence for that in looking at the "Shield of the man-bull" which had a unique enchant, but had it's enchantment removed despite patch notes clearly stating that the enchantment of all already obtained shields would not be removed. We also have the "shield of endurance" from finishing the ICP dungeon which has a health regeneration enchantment.
Being able to enchant shields with a jewelry enchantment would also be cool and pragmatic. Often the base stats don't matter a whole lot on the shield and only have a marginal benefit. Jewelry enchants would give players something new to consider that could go toward helping resource managment.Rest in Peace:

Gelassenheit✭✭My main problem with it, is that it's nothing special. It's an enchantment that you can already get, on a set piece that is pretty much garbage. Like other Maelstrom weapons, it should have a unique enchantment and not be part of a set.
Something like Low Slash (2nd skill in S&B) does more maim, or a heal, or costs less stamina, in addition to some base + health amount. Just like other Masters / Maelstrom weapons have - a buff to the second skill in the respective skill line, and some base + weapon damage / spell damage.4 -
