does group finder work now?

I know they say they did some improvements to the group finder but as I am on console we did not get this yet. So I was just wondering if any pc players have tested out this new group tool and 1 does it work as they say it does. and 2 is it quick and easy to use?

"Yesterday I did silver with lvl 17 Tank and 24 Healer - both looked like straight out from tutorial. Also the healer didn't speak English all that much and was a bit confused stuff being vr 16... Yet one of the best dungeon runs

Ofc there is exceptions and some players are just bad - but I think it's not as much level related issue that people blame it to be. Biggest issue atm is that people aren't using the grouping tool as much as it deserves to be used and aren't yet familiar with this awesome battle leveling stuff.

I got only good experiences so far and I encourage people to try it out!!"

that's good to hear that's only thing that keeps me from playing I love the game and am a pve all day kinda guy but my group members have something called lifes so cant dungeon run all day hopefully this will help lol

It's hit and miss in my opinion.

I've spent like 4 or 5 hours trying to find groups with zero luck.

Bugs are abound with it. Not teleporting members, grouping max lvl with low lvls, disconnects in a dungeon which rolls you back to character screen so you've gotta start over. I'm sure there's more but these are the one's my own guildies have experienced.

well the new battle lvling system is supposed to fix that min lvl with max lvls so it doesn't matter anymore I thought. If you use group finder it scales everyone to v15 and gives them stats based off there attribute point?

True. But personally if I was grouped with a lvl 20 when I'm trying to do a quick run of a silver key I'd leave group or kick them if everyone else was a vet. Its painful from experience, I've done it in the past and I don't care for it. Battle lvl or not I'd still prefer vets who'd have more skills unlocked.

The group finder needs an option to set what lvl/rank you want to group with.

I can see your point but if you trying to do a skilled run that's when you use your group friends or guild but if your just running dungeons for or to grind or for loot then yea battle lvling and the group finder is awsm the fact that we kick ppl cuss they don't have enough exp is counter productive they cant lvl if no one will do anything with them

I don't want to say elitist, because it isn't really fair to a lvl 20 to scale his stays up to v15 and just throw him against the v16 enies. At lvl 20 you just don't have the skills unlocked to handle it. I ran a dungeon with my light armor dps. Thankfully he was my NB with Sap essence cause the tank was lvl 24. I was the tank not him. I don't hold it against him, we finished, it was just a rough situation. I think the group finder is loads better, but could use a tweak or two.

As a tank i have no problem at all to find a dungeon group so i think the change is great.

Took me 20 seconds yesterday to find a group. It was not a very good one, but we managed to complete the Gold Daily.
The other day, we had a group and searched for a Healer and it took a minute or so and the guy was very good.

It's either that or long queues. Remember gating the search system for specific player levels will make the queues longer. I guess the option can be there, but this would fracture the search times where only VR people are searching for VR and low level players can't get a group together for a simple dungeon.

It's a learning expeirence and I am sure ZoS will figure out a sort of buff system to help compensate low level players who lack the skills to survive to be productive members of a group instead of being a drag on them.

I used to be so frustrated with the grouping tool before. After endless waiting, I rarely got a group, not even for pledges. But I must admit I'm surprised how they managed to improve it and I'm so happy I gave it another chance. Every time it has taken less than five minutes to find a full group and the groups have been good and friendly so far.

I know the grouping tool has gained bad reputation but I encourage people to give it a try.

I haven't had good experiences so far. I'm new (switched from console to PC) and have a lvl 32 Sorc DPS. Qued a total of 4 times with no luck getting in a group. Longest que was 30 minutes and looked to reset at some point because when I checked the status it said I had been waiting for 1 minute.

Apparently it resets when you zone. So I suspect that some of the people having the least success in finding groups are having this issue because they're moving from one zone to another while waiting for the LFG tool to find them a group.

I agree. But other games have this in vanilla, so it's a wonder ESO didn!t have that.

it works well, as healer it doesn't takes much to enter a group. the only problem is that it's v1-16 so sometimes groups lacks of dps but the passive buff helps much

ofc u can't use it for IC vetdoungs.

Oh, and as far as my own experiences with it go: overall it's a vast improvement. It's still broken in some respects, as there are elements that don't work as intended, and the battle leveling for lower levels could use some tweaking (actually I think it would be better to split the pools between levels 1-50 and VR1-16, but breaking it down any further than that would defeat the purpose of pooling all players and using battle leveling IMO), but it's vastly better than the almost-never-working broken tool that it was before.

If you're queuing as a tank for one of the day's pledge dungeons, you tend to get put into a group within a minute or two. For other roles it tends to take a bit longer, but it's still much faster and more reliable than it was before.
