Did Molag Bal's Simulacrum pack up and move away?

Tonight on PC/NA I ran through IC Sewers with some friends intent on punching Molag Bal in the face. As soon as we got to the center of the sewers we see the portals up, but not a monster to be found in front of them. This happened first in the Axe of Belharza. Thinking it may have just been a campaign-specific bug we hopped over to Haderus, made our trek back to the center of the sewers and again no mobs in front of the glowing center portals and no Molag Bal was no where to be seen.

Did he get lonely and move on?

    The same thing happened on Azura EU last time i visited the middle a few days ago. Not sure if it got fixed since then.

    I think he might be very depressed because he is not longer relevant :D

    Did you go all the way up to the portals? They have to be triggered I believe.
    It's time for an overhaul of the current loot system!
    Implement a Token-System, so people get rewarded for their time invested!
    RNG^RNG is both tedious and undesirable!

    Yes we walked all the way to the portals. They were active, but the usual mobs were not hanging out in front of them. We even checked behind the portals in case something was hiding. There was no visible trigger to activate to start the fight.

    This was rather disappointing as my friends really wanted to try for the pet and polymorph rewards.

    He is protesting being part of one of the ridiculously long grinds in the game. It gets old being bothered for stonefire scamps and soulshriven skins. Next the trove and cunning scamps will go on strike.
