They are perfect. Now i can study everytime i change zone. I can even take a shower and when im done I even got time to make a sandwich. It's also helping me to play less, every hour i get to play like 20-25 minutes so thats like 40 min of doing something else! Hahaha haha ha... Hurra Zos! What a game.

I don't get it. Loading screens are not that long for me.

I can play half a game of spider solitare sometimes while waiting for a load screen just coming out of the thief's area in Rivenspire.

Maybe your connection then. I also don't have the same issues.

I'm on a i7 - 3770K, GTX 680 16.0gb ram. Speed test show 160Mbps but I used to have longer loading screens before I changed my isp.

It seems it's no a client hardware issue, but rather the server end refusing the connection, or perhaps a load balancing issue. There might be a hidden player queue for a zone that prevents too many people loading in at once, but even if it was this, then it's bugged.

I'm 90 % sure it's related to their server shards and the algorithm handling player sessions on shards.

2 minutes is also an extremely long time for a loading screen. Loading screens shouldn't take more than 10-20 seconds depending on hardware.

I can load in GW2 from "Play" to character control in under 20 seconds. It's a ESO problem.

    Proof:
Hey guys, we finally have an update for you on this issue. As we've mentioned previously, in the past few patches we've been adding code to the backend to track this issue and give us more data. We're happy to let you know that we have a fix going into Monday's PC incremental patch that should fix the long loading screens - turns out it was tied to anyone that had completed a lot of quests.

Thanks for staying patient with us while we tracked this one down!

My loading screens on the ps 4 are only about 30 seconds at the most. You guys need to switch over to consoles. I was a pc gamer for years, but I find gaming on a console is a lot less hassle free, and overall games run so much better. Everyone has the same hardware. I've been a gamer since 1977.

2 minutes is even too long of a loading screen IMO.

I bought PS4 on launch, after 3 months I sold it. I don't regreat it. With the same amount of money I spent on my first 4 ps4 games I now have over 30 great games not to mention they all run at 60 fps and 1080p. I also have acces to mods.
However this is a discussion that belongs somewhere else.
(Btw i was a console gamer since i was 5 but ps4 was prolly the last console ill ever buy)

Well apparently it has to do with the number of quests you have completed. So it makes sense that PC players, being over a year more in to the game, will have completed more quests than most console players.

As to switching to console, I prefer PC. I have no hassles, it runs so much smoother, is prettier, more adjustable, has addons, voice chat and text chat. You can now use a controller if you like. My computer has a direct hookup to my living room TV if I wanted to use it. It costs me less since I already pay for internet.

I really see no benefit for me to switch to console.
