@Reverb champion points do not affect spell power to the best of my knowledge
@Inig0 yes same weapons
@ommyboy yes same normal PvE locations
@Sallington was a normal PvE zone and cyrodiil buffs don't apply there to the best of my knowledge
@OrphanHelgen Yes both same quality and rarity. Only difference is i have purple spell power glyphs on jewelry pieces and she has gold, so that should be a total of about 42 spell damage, which still doesn't explain 500.

CP affects max magic which impacts spell damage. Also, you referenced tooltip damage. That can certainly be impacted by champion points. If I dump a bunch of points into Thurmaturge or Blessed, the skills impacted by those points will have a higher tooltip value than they did before.

You are right that CP affects max magicka and that more CP is more damage, but i'm not talking about the tooltip damage of abilities. I'm talking purely about the raw spell damage that can be viewed at the character screen
[snip]. Are there any other factors in the game that affect your tooltip spelldamage?
Could you provide screenshots of each?
Is your friend a sorc? if yes, the more sorc skills on her skill bar, the more spell damage % is increased. check the sorc passive, there is a passive where you get 2% extra spell damage for each sorc skill slotted. I think that's the reason.
EDIT: I just saw your screen shows that you are a NB, and I think your friend is a sorc.
