(Datamine) Kvatch and Anvil, future small scale PvP?

I just stumbled upon this on everyone's favorite Russian datamining site which mentions Kvatch and Anvil and something called the Gold Coast.

Of course it got me thinking, Kvatch and Anvil were in Cyrodiil in TES:Oblivion right? And Cyrodiil is now a PvP zone... Will Kvatch and Anvil be battlegrounds? I almost just peed myself from excitement just writing it.
Does anyone "know" anything, or have some cool guesses?

The Russian text google translated:
With the release of patch 2.2.0 on the PTS for The Elder Scrolls Online in a text file, a host of references to cities and Kvatch Anvil familiar to players of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Apparently, Zenimax Online Studios is developing a whole new zone - the Gold Coast (Gold Coast), the center of which will be the two cities.

In August, the developers have hinted at the appearance of Anvil and Kvatch in the game - in an episode of "Archives of the custodians of knowledge", dedicated to the archeology and races of Tamriel:

However, they have not disappeared entirely - say, even now, minotaurs are found in the forests and highlands Colovian Gold Coast. Maybe I'll check it out in person - as soon after my expedition to Mount Wrothgarian! Travelling on the Gold Coast is not an easy one - thanks for this so-called queen of the pirates of Anvil - but I hope over the next year we will resume the trip to Anvil and Kvatch. Stibbons must say that it is as soon as possible revised agreement.

Kvatch is located on the golden coast.
Anvil already is in the game though. at least you can go there, but not enter it. It's East of the right Aldmeri Dominion home base.

Would be cool if they would make something like this available. PvP addons are always welcome.
But I never heared anything like this from Zenimax, like never. So probably not.

It could be PVP-update as it was datamined like 2 week after IC. Im hoping it to be sea-combat, its not exactly new thing to the genre so Zen just might do it. Not to mention Pirates.

You're talking about Bravil. Anvil is located on the western shore of Cyrodiil, north of Velyn Harbor in Malabal Tor.

Datamining is only discovering the data exists. That does not necessarily mean it will be used. Many normal video games, especially the retro ones, have unused data in the game that was either used for testing or was scrapped but never totally removed. Also the data found may be used for other things than what is speculated, if they get used.

I have the need to point out the so-called "data mining". It's always just linking the same Russian website over and over, literally all the previous data mined info was from the same page, just giving it a fancy name - [Data Mining].

Either way, we've seen (or at least some of us) that PvP video of a small number of players (3-4) participating in a "Free-For-All" mode in a small PvP scale arena. That was I'd say around a year ago, maybe that's what is this supposed to be?

I would love to see Kvatch and Anvil in the game.

And I'm willing to bet that even though it's in a pvp zone, these will be PVE focused if they're added.

The likely reason is it is the same person or people datamining. Not many people have the time or resources to do this stuff lol and frankly as long as no harm is done Zenimax will continue to overlook it.

The original text from Loremaster's Archive was this:
However, they were never entirely wiped out, and Minotaurs are said to roam the backwoods and hills of the Colovian Highlands and the Gold Coast even today. I may just look into this myself, after I complete my planned expedition into the Wrothgarian Mountains! Travel to the Gold Coast has been difficult recently, thanks to the whims of the so-called Pirate Queen of Anvil, but it's my understanding that, within the next year, it may be possible for us to resume visits to the towns of Anvil and Kvatch. I shall have Stibbons see to the arrangements as soon as it's feasible.

Zenimax have put in hints of future content like this before, and the fact that the Gold Coast also exists in the game data makes it very likely to me that it will be a DLC next year. I think it's very unlikely to be a PvP area though. Just because the Gold Coast was part of Cyrodiil in the Third Era, doesn't mean that it is right now. Based on the lore of the time, there doesn't seem to be much fighting in Colovia; it's all occurring in the Heartlands, which is exactly and only what the existing "Cyrodiil" zone covers.

That PvP zone, assuming it's the one seen at the gaming conventions, is called Colovian Crossing. While clearly in Colovia, there's no evidence of it being set anywhere near the Gold Coast (somewhere in the Colovian Highlands is more likely).

Kvatch is the only city in Cyrodiil (other than the Imperial City) with a gladiator arena. So it might be possible to have small scale PvP in there.
