Best PvE / PvP character build for Tanking / Damage dealing

Good morning,

After recently buying ESO on the Xbox One, after playing it up till level 30ish on PC a few years ago, i am wondering what the best character build is for me.
I am looking for a Tank or Damage dealer build and after some research i found out that it would a good choice to go with a DK or a Sorcerer ( Open to all other builds aswell).

Since i don't have much experience when it comes to this game, i would like to get some help building a decent character and if possible maybe 1 or 2 skill sets i can work to along the way.

I've also read through the forums a little bit and keep seeing comments of people that are saying the Sorcerer (Magicka build) is the best character to go for when it comes to being all-round (PvE and PvP)

My plan when jumping in to ESO again is to start of with doing PvE at first to get some experience back in the game, but after that i want to jump in to PvP aswell.

Could you guys help me with picking a nice, all-round character build so i can get started again

I would go for Breton Magicka NB, you can easily switch between tanking and dps without having to respec.

Sap Tank and Sap DPS

Right now DKs have been hit with the nerf-bat so often they are a mess, especially in PvP. And tanking is sinking as well.

I would go with Magicka NB or Sorc.

Thank you! Do you also have a suggestion when it comes to Race and Alliance?

DK tank is still by far one of the best if not the best tank. Easiest self sustained stamina as a tank.

Not sure about that. NBs have Siphoning Attacks, which means virtually unlimited Stamina and Magicka (especially when use with Caltrops). Only need 16k stamina to be able to block nonstop, allowing you to get 30k+ magicka for utility and damage.

Magicka Templar is the most versatile when it comes to being able to tank and DPS.
