New public dungeon boss spawn times?

I've been waiting for a boss to spawn in Rkindaleft for over 10 minutes. Is this normal? Does zos really expect us to wait so long just for a 15 second fight.

Public dungeon bosses have a thing where they're not all up at the same time. In order for some to spawn, someone has to kill the others. If you're just standing there farming the boss and nobody's doing the other bosses, you're in for a long wait :)

we killed all the other bosses, then we were just waiting to kill the last one for 15 minutes

No, you don't understand. In some dungeons, only a certain number of them can be up at any given time. For example, if a dungeon has two bosses, and only one can be up, then you need to keep killing that one until the other one decides to spawn. This process can sometimes take hours, if you are exceedingly unlucky.

If one of the other bosses that you already killed respawned, instead of the boss you need to kill, then the boss you need isn't going to ever spawn. You need to kill the other bosses again, and hope that the one you need is the one to spawn.

Is this really how it works? At least now I won't stand at the boss spawn like a tool for 15 minutes next time!

Yes it is. It applies to delves too, such as the ones in Cyrodiil. Was out doing those yesterday and in one case, had the same boss spawn 3 times in a row.

Where did you obtain this information?? Frankly, it does not make any sense from the standpoint of designing a game or a dungeon. It also does not describe my experience with whether and/or when "champions" re-spawn. Some spawn only under certain conditions, usually after "switches" are set or some puzzle is solved (not the same quite as doing so to open the door to a chamber where they are to be found). Most appear soon after a player's character arrives at the location. But there are some dungeons where some specific champions just don't re-spawn as they should. Programmers make mistakes, and their software has errors, oversights and other flaws.

In Rkindaleft, there are too many champions spread all over too much dungeon to make it feasible to go around killing the champions that one has already killed just to "cause" one that the player has yet to find present to appear. For one thing, that champion or any other could be killed at any time by one or more other players. Consequently, there is nothing that any player can do to "make" a champion respawn unless there is something that must be done for the champion to appear at all.

Btw, Am I the only that think that public dungeons should have a instanced option?
“Kings of the land and the sky we are; proud gryphons.” Stalker stands, the epitome of pride. Naked and muscular, his wings widen and his feet dig in as if he alone holds down the earth and supports the heavens, keeping the two ever separate.”

Unfortunately this is how it works, when it works.

    Just another unreasonably implemented "feature".

It started with Cyrodiil's delves spreading to PvE like a plague

I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).
