There are a variety of religions in Elder Scrolls and I want to get an idea of what people's favourites are. I obviously can't put everything, so I'm only listing major faiths. Sorry Daedra worshippers, you're being generalised.

Edit: I was about to bloody type assorted Daedra but I accidentally submitted the draft. I can make a new thread if you guys want. Ugh. And yes, I know it's supposed to be Mauloch or Malacath, or Malak.

Honestly I would love to see a DLC revolving around the different Aedra and Daedra worship. Maybe receiving some sort of bonus much like Mundus stones.

i like this and follwing aedra gives you a boost in like mana, stam or health and follwing deadra boost in weapondamage or spell damage

There are, however, some people that are irreligious, though they still acknowledge the existence of various deities. The Dwemer are a good example. They believed the Divines to be dead and gone and pointless to worship (which isn't quite true as we get to experience divine intervention from Auri-El in Oblivion) and the Daedra to not be worthy of worship due to them being manipulative demons that do not care for the mortals at all.

There are people who refuse to worship any of the gods or Deadra, but Atheism in the modern sense (not believing in the existence of any deity) existing in Tamriel would be pretty silly, considering that the existence of the Aedra and Deadra is readily apparent. What with the Deadra invading all the time, people summoning them, and the Aedra giving objects to mortals (The Red Diamond and Auriel's Bow), you would be in a massive state of denial if you didn't beleive in the existence of Aedra and Deadra.

From my understanding, Sithis is truly the only "god" I believe he (it) is the only one that can create the divines. So im gonna have pick that one.

Personally I would be a follower of the good daedra as I like to play a good heroic type

Leskandera is often giving prayer to Mephala the webspinner, and happily is all about lies, spiders, secrecy, murder and... well, all right, maybe not -all- about her sphere of influence at this time, but close enough.

Kelasendar is partial to Azura... queen of the night sky, prince of the magic between dusk and dawn, mother of the rose and power of transition and change... maaaybe with a nod towards Hermenaus Mora now and then because... books.

...and since those two are my mains, that's what I go with.
Guess that makes both my dunmer characters kinda heretics, huh? Oh, well... let's keep it between me and the forums then and not tell the tribunal! ;)

The rest of my characters are following whatever makes sense for how i see them. Kes the orc likes Stendarr (which is why the other orcs kicked her out for not doing the mandatory mauloch/malak worship), Laas the argonian goes with the Hist, Akar the nord thunder priest prays to Kyne, Sekla the part-time furry bosmer forsake the green pact to go with Hircine, Desla the altmer healer is a priestess of mara, and my breton vampiress swore off all dieties anyways...

YES. I would actually love to see a unique skill line for specific sects/religions. Not active skills per se, but maybe a passive line and an Ultimate or something. Would be a cool addition to an expansion: a new set of quest lines that took you all over Tamriel, complete with new world bosses and public dungeons based on Aedra/Daedra. As you progress you unlock new passives and perhaps even unique costumes (!!!) and at the end of the quest line you gain a new Ultimate. Or something... I just got really pumped when I helped Azura out and she spoke to me, and I would love to see a more tangible exploration of actually devoting oneself to a specific deity. ;)

In response to the question of atheism in Tamriel, @Artjuh90 makes a very good point. It also reminds me of something Cersei said about Tywin Lannister in GoT. I forget the exact quote but it was along the lines of "Oh he believes in the gods, he just doesn't like them very much." I think that's a perfectly cromulent position for TES.
    May all beings have happiness
May they be free from suffering
May they find the joy that has never known suffering
May they be free from attachment and hatred

I love all the religions of the game, they're all rich with lore. The Man/Mer schism is the most intriguing aspect of religion in Tamriel.
The Exclusionary Mandates of Maruhkite Selection: All Are Equal

1: That the Supreme Spirit Akatosh is of unitary essence, as proven by the monolinearity of Time.
1: That Shezarr the missing sibling is Singularly Misplaced and therefore Doubly Venerated.
1: That the protean substrate that informs all denial of (1) is the Aldmeri Taint.
1: That the Prophet Most Simian demonstrated that monothought begets Proper-Life.
1: That the purpose of Proper-Life is the Expungement of the Taint.
1: That the Arc of Time provides the mortal theater for the Sacred Expungement.
1: That Akatosh is Time is Proper-Life is Taint-Death.
