I have asked this question a couple times but never had really got a concrete and satisfying response. Most of the time various people within the same thread will say, "Yes they all crit," or "no none can crit," and "some do some don't." I havn't been able to really find a concrete answer even perusing the web. So I would like if people with concrete details, the PC folk with mods and such, could chime in a give me an answer. I play on the console, I am a long time mmo player, and would like to know this so I can choose skills and such appropriatly.
I would like to know how HoTs and critical work in this game. I come from WoW and many changes over the years had come to Druid healing and HoTs in general. I haven't played in years since WotLK, but if I recal at that time each tick from a HoT (Heal over time) had the chance to crit. Does the resto staff in this game have the same mechanic, for example can the 3 pulses of Healing Spring, can those crit? Can only Templar direct heals crit in this game? Since Healing Ward has a heal at the front and the end, do those have the option to crit? I basically want a concrete answer from those who have seen the numbers, PC players using healing mods for example, to say whether or not as a Nightblade Healer there is any purpose in me getting my crit to a certain point or should I simply focus on spell damage?
Thank you and hopefully I can get an answer that is satisfactory with some support from the PC crowd. I love/hate how minimal the UI is, i feel they did drop the ball without giving options to those who would want to know. I play as healers and tanks in mmos and so not having timers for buffs/debuffs is just irritating, and not being about to see heals whether or not they can crit is frustrating. I personally would play with it one time on to see if they do in fact crit and honestly take the heal numbers off, but again we don't even get said option. Hopefully they start to change the UI a bit and give more options while keeping it minimal.
Thanks again,
