My internet connection is severely impaired since Orsinium Update

Right now I'm glad I can type here at all..
So, the thing is that my internet connection became a lot slower since the Orsinium update. I usually have 100MB/s cable connection which always worked without any issues. After Orsinium hit, it ran at 30-40 MB/s (down speed), and today it went down to 5 and 0. I got disconnected right before, then the speed recovered to get at least to ~30 for a short time and went down again. The ping (in-game) was so high that I couldn't type in chat or interact with anything anymore, same like yesterday.
Usually it was the case that if I got disconnected (mainly last year in summer) that I still had normal internet connection/speed. But not anymore since Orsinium hit.
I called my internet provider twice today after I got booted from the game again, and they said they can't see any issues on their end (they measured over 100MB/s going to my router) while on my end it was between 0 and at best ~30.
I restarted the PC and the router several times, and my internet provider also did a router reset from their end, nothing helped.
So I'm running out of ideas what's left to try to fix this. Is there any file or whatever that needs to be replaced? I don't know what to do anymore or how this can happen in the first place. All cables and devices etc are intact, no issues there.
Yesterday when this happened I had the zone chat open (in Wrothgar) and saw many others reporting about the same ping/disconnect issue, so I guess I'm not alone with this. But what about the general internet connection? Is anyone having the same connection problem like I have right now?
Btw, while my connection slowed down after the Orsinium update already, I only got actually booted as soon as I bought the DLC yesteray and went to Wrothgar. Now I also get booted in any other zone as well.

Kabel Deutschland (I'm in Germany).

✭It's still the same today. I haven't been playing all day long until evening (it's half past 10 p.m. here now) and during the day I didn't have any internet connection issues.
I log on to the game, and maybe half an hour later, I'm getting the exact same issue. I was doing another skill respec, and while spending the points, it became slower and slower until I was obviously not connnected anymore. Then I got booted and still had general connection issues afterwards.
Now after a few hours not playing, it works fine again (right now it's back to 98MB/s). So whenever I don't play, everything works fine. Whenever I play (or at least try to play) the game, it goes down to under 5 MB/s or around 0.

Fun thing was that Vodafone WAS my previous provider which kept messing up my connection (one time it took 7 full weeks until they fixed it, I got no internet and no phone connection during that time, and no Striped Senche due to this either..), and when I had the chance, I switched to Kabel Deutschland. Only afterwards I saw that they're getting taken over by Vodafone, and now I'm sitting in the same freaking boat again! One of the most incompetent services out there!
I cannot believe this is happening, they need to do something against it asap, after all I'm paying for a 100 MB/s connection!
