IMO it's good to have a bit of downtime. Ah lots of kids have that problem. When I was 13, I used to have sleepovers at my friends house who always used to wet the bed.9 is young; I had behavioral and wetting-the-bed issues until 12 or so, when us moving cities and going to high school somehow snapped me into someone a bit more normal...
I still hate him for making me sleep on the bottom bunk every time though.
