Hi I'm just wondering what you think is best for a pve stamina tank, I've just hit rank 16 and I'm thinking about making my new gear but don't want to waste the materials. The song gives better spell resistance but hist has the dodge.
Thanks I did briefly consider that but didn't want to lose a skill slot as I'm very happy with my skill set up. I'm leaning towards hist bark at the moment as I was soloing craglorn bosses earlier in it and the dodge was kicking in a lot, still need more resources before I can make the rank 16 stuff so I'm thinking of making a set of lamae in rank 14 and trying the same bosses to see if there's a difference, joys of working out set up on console.
What class are you? NB tanks don't need Hist Bark since they get a great class dodge ability (that also gives minor armor+spell resist buffs). Also, consider that when blocking you are not regenerating stamina, so Hist Bark is less valuable now since it is harder to permablock. I actually use 5pc Lamae on my magicka NB tank because, in addition to what I just said about dodging, we also lack burst healing. After buffs to healing dealt/received, and since it scales with spell power, the heal from Lamae gives me 6-7k heals. So, in deciding endgame tanking sets, take into consideration what is already available to your class and what it's weakpoints are.

I'm using a dragon knight tank, pretty sure I'm now going to stick with hist bark as the dodge happens a lot and so in essence can save me stamina while blocking. I rarely have stamina issues so far, I think partly due to build and partly due to almost always running with good templar healers.will probably start using engine guardian soon (helm is due with the amount of runs I've done) which should reduce any management issues that arise.
