With zero selleable loot I can already feel potion costs.
Somehow it is even less rewarding (financially, at least loot is kinda okay for some builds and Mweapons are interesting) than trials. Playing MSA all day will make you bankrupt eventually.
I'm already switching towards drop pots when farming for master weapons. imho at least some sellable loot would not only be nice, but even necessary at some point
PS: the mats from the deconstructed defending bow won't do

✭✭✭✭Yeah I'm burning through V15 Tri-stats like Candy. I burned 300 of them in the past 2 days to learn the Arena...plus 200 Soul gems and 40K in repairs. Now that I've completed it I hope to cut my loses to *only* around 15K-20K per day.
They definitely need to at very least up the gold on each chest to something like 600-1000 gold. This way for a player that has the arena on farm he will actually come out slightly ahead in materials.
Once I hit CP Cap though....the rewards for doing VMSA are going to be all negative.Permanently banned from the forums for displaying dissent: ESO - The Year Behind

✭Once I hit CP Cap though....the rewards for doing VMSA are going to be all negative.
I wasn't paying too much attention to XP because I was too busy trying to learn VMSA with the buggiest patch to date, but I felt like the EXP was terrible compared to other options that also support your income.

This reward is just ridiculous. ✭✭✭✭✭So you are all telling ZOS that MSA is a wonderful gold sink. Well great, now they will never change it. And as for as BOP goes, that's just to force people to buy the DLC.

Deconstructing all my IC drops is already bankrupting me.
(I don't sell my Vault drops because of too many alts).
Spent the last week on a V3 alt and murdering a lot of craiglorn stuff on a V16 to get dropped loot for some cash for Orsinium (have to harvest Voidstone level stuff to refine into purple/gold upograde mats too.
IC sucked up all my money and a lot of my upgrade mats and I don't even have a full set of V16 crafted yet.
Not having stuff to sell is gonna be rough if Orsinuim is another net loss in gold.

I have as well, but I still have gold. I think not having gold is an issue that is easily fixed, but despite that I hope you can convince the developers to make the arena more rewarding and less cost prohibitive.

But seriously, does nobody use the V15 dropped potions for PvE? Sure, they are only single-stat and not as strong, but they still work pretty well when you need to replenish a single stat (or if you're Argonian, using any pot grants a decent % of all stats back as well). Kas✭✭✭✭✭i also have some gold but i burned through roughly 500k for dreugh wax, silk, and now pots.
still, a run without a good master weapon drop feels liek a terrible waste of time and resources if you sucessfully play for quite some time and in the end realize you had NEGATIVE rewards.
among capped CP, mediocre drops, an rng challeneg in the end and nothing selleable, this is just what happens.
further, it's not really a gold sink. it's just transferring gold away from players that do it and to flower farmers (personally, i still think that this includes bot, otherwiese prices would be even higher). if msa palyers had something to sell via guild trades, THAT would actually remove gold form the system. the only gold that is actually removed is from repairs and that's almost nothing.
ps: today i just did a run with my sorc instead of my templar. between magelight and surge, i needed almost no pots. i uess that's my short-term solution. the long term solution will be to run 5 chars into the weekly and stop when i have the weapons i want. very sad, because i LOVE DSA and used it to get some gold + have some pve fun in between pvp@bbu - AD/EU
