Linked my ESO account to my brother's PSN by mistake, now I can''t link it to my own.

Hey Everyone,

My brother and I share a PS4. We had left it on from the day before release so it could download the game. As soon as I saw that it was downloaded, I launched it straight away and began creating my account. It wasn't until I had finished that I realised I was logged into the PS4 as my brother.

This was a problem as the name I had used for my ESO account was my PSN tag. Figuring out what I could do to fix this, I logged into the website and unlinked my ESO account from my brother's PSN.

I then went to relink it to my own PSN but it wouldn't let me. Further more, it won't let my brother link a new account to his PSN either. We both keep getting a message saying that 'That User ID has either already been linked to a different Sony Entertainment Network account or this Sony Entertainment Network account has already been linked to another User ID.'

It sucks, we've both been waiting for this game since last year and now none of us can play it. I know I was stupid but surely there is a way to fix it? My brother understandably does not want to use my ESO account since it's my gamer tag and I have a history of sucking lol All his hard work will be credited to me.

I have contacted customer service and they said to just try and log-in again and if that didn't work, get back to them and let them know. It didn't work and I have gotten back to them, it's just I'm getting a little impatient waiting for a response as I really want to be playing this game now.

I'm crossing my fingers that one of you awesome people will be able to help me...

    I am having the same issue.... me and my brother pulled the same thing and and I'm still waiting for a reply myself. Paid 64.99 to do what

    Hey Everyone,

    Just wanted to let you know that it got sorted out. My advice to anyone who has the same problem, kept emailing them until you get a response lol Nah you just have to be patient haha

    Also, the usual CSO's aren't able to deal with this, you need to be referred onto a specialist. The one who dealt with me was RJ S. (Ronald) and he practically solved the problem straight away, so maybe you could just ask straight out that you get referred onto him.

    Lastly, you need to keep your ESO account linked to the PSN account otherwise they won't be able to permanently unlink them.

    ZOS_TristanK thanks for letting me know that you guys were trying to fix it. I need to turn on notifications so I know someone replied to my post...

    @Leoyce Maybe I can get RJ too. If you could shoot him a link to my post about trying to relink my accounts, that'd be great. I lost my Xbox account and they refused to unlink it.

    @Robbie575 Hey Mate, I just sent an email to RJ S but whether he gets it is another matter. See, all the correspondence from the various CSO's was through the same email, ESO_Help@helpmail.elderscrollsonline.com. There isn't an address to get in contact with RJ S specifically...

    For the first couple days, I kept getting automated messages about checking whether my PS4 was plugged in correctly and calling Sony if the problem persisted...It was unbelievably frustrating!!

    Anyway, hope you get sorted soon!
