I still have the 10 fps bug, do you?

Hello everybody!

So i had this problem for more than a month now, randomly out of the blue i get 10 fps game choke that lasts somewhere to a few seconds to infinity (i presume not tested the theory...yet!).
Am i the only one that still has this problem? Perhaps it's just me going crazy...or did they really fail to fix this in this huge amount of time?
Cyrodiil can be a pain sometimes but weird enough sometimes i have no problem running the game AT ALL,i usually get around 60-70 fps using lowered graphics for better respond time during pvp fights.
Not to mention the uber holy god of lags in siege fights with 999 latency combine that with 10 fps and you get....any takers?

What i'm trying to say is : Do you also have this problem? or is it only on my side of the deal?

I have this problem too. I have discovered that one of my cpu cores goes up to 100% utilization. The other cores stay around 30%. The graphic card is bored and stays at 10% utilization. If I tap out of the game it goes back to normal. Very strange.

10 FPS has been what i call "Optimal" in this game when in cyrodiil. It always drops down to 3 FPS and 999 Ping when a zerg of 20 enemy players come around, Then when they attack, the game will freeze or crash, ALOT.

Its normal. Get used to it or find another game to play i guess, because these guys are not going to talk about the issue or address it, especially on this forum.

I have this problem in PVE-Areas too. Not only in Cyrodiil....

I never had this problem, my videosetting is fullscreen. I figure it has something to do with that, you guys playing window mode?

Eh. I usually get 80-90 FPS but then it occasionally drops to 10fps and the only way to resolve it is quit the game and restart.

Yes I still get it - thankfully it only happens occasionally but when it does strike the only fix is to completely exit the game and start afresh - just relogging does not work, need to completely close game.

I bought a new laptop "for extreme gaming" a couple of months ago. It has 16 GB of system memory and 8 GB of graphics RAM on an NVidia GTX 980M video card. It also has an SSD rather than a normal hard drive. Unsurprisingly I can run the game extremely happily on Ultra-High settings in most of the game areas and obtain 60-100 fps. In busier areas, such as Cyrodiil, the Imperial City, and Wrothgar, I run the game on High settings and obtain 50-100 fps most of the time.

Except for weird graphical lag bursts, when suddenly for no reason that I can see, the fps drops to 3-10. It's never associated with latency dips, or I'd blame my distance from the server (I'm one of those weird Europeans who prefers the NA server to the EU one). It's not associated with the fan going haywire, or I'd blame the laptop getting too hot and having to reduce graphical performance to cool it down.

What is causing this? Sure, it could be client-side... but why would my computer, which is otherwise running the game so efficiently, suddenly choke on it?

Getting this especially in caves, delves, orsinium or after playing a long time.

Fps just drops every few seconds, screen freezes, goes back up, then back down repeat and rinse.

I narrowed it down to a draw call problem with ESO on the GPU which basically means, poor optimization/too many draw calls/inconsistent materials etc etc which is causing fps drops.

DX12 if ESO supported it would solved this issue probably. That or ZOS needs to spend more money/time on optimization which on a freemium / buy to play / dlc / microtransaction business model, seems unlikely they will bother.

Hi there, I have been experiencing 10fps gameplay since Latest patch/DLC release. Regardless of my graphics settings, screen resolution, etc, I am playing at no more than 13fps. Previously my fps were in the 30-50 ballpark on medium settings, and gameplay would cause dips in the fps (which I could handle). At this point, this game is unplayable for me.

2011 MBP 15" 8gb i7 2.2ghz, osX 10.9.5
Radeon 6750

I realise my tech isn't the latest, however I can tell you that at medium settings with most details toggled off, I kept 30-50 fps. Now, regardless of my settings, I'm stuck at 10 fps.

16gb DDR3
FX6300 cpu (3.6ghz, 6 cores)

I normally get 40-60 fps on high settings and now I'm seemingly locked to 10 fps even with the lowest settings and no aa, bloom, rays, etc etc. and yes like that other post, locked to 10fps and core 0 of my cpu is stuck at 100%.

I quit having problems after messing with my user settings file. I have a near minimum system and my resolution is probably a tenth of yours, so my input probably doesn't help much.

The problems I have with FPS are because my video card is overheating.
No game-side issue has ever occurred to me.

Not after i purchase a new computer funny thing is that ZoS say the have not change anything but after the add orsinium dlc game so something have happen to game so it have more or less become very unplayable for many people and i have buy 2nd computer to my gf as well which is also play ESO and honest i think it is sad that you need replace computer just so you can enjoy the game.

I haven't had the random 10 FPS problem since I switched to Windows 10 around last December or so. I still get 13 FPS in Cyrodiil during large keep battles of course but that is just the normal Cyrodiil performance problems. The random 10 FPS used to happen in PvE, doing delves, dolmens, dungeons, it didn't seem matter when it happened. But no, haven't had that problem in a while.

I get it randomly but always in Cyrodiil. Some sessions I can play for hours in Cyrodiil without any issues... other time I can get it as soon as I spawn. It seems (to me) to be totally random when it happens. I have been in big battles with tens of player s on screen at the same time & my FPS is awesome (60+), Other times I can be in a quest hub with no other players to be seen & it will turn into a 10fps slideshow.

I have found that my best cure is to ALT-TAB back to windows & end the ESO task in the task manager & restart. This has always worked to get my FPS back to normal.

I'm glad that this isn't a clientside problem. While I don't have a fresh PC, I did't have this issue before the IC patch. It ran fluently. After last September this frustrating thing appeared, and haven't left me since.

I play swtor on ultra with no issues and usually a sub 35 latency. Yesterday in icp i was getting horrible latency at 999+ and 1 fps. I restarted my computer and router and it fixed the issue for 2 boss fights but then came back...

Haven't had this problem at all.

There was a memory leak introduced with the TG update and the 64-bit client, but they fixed that in the last patch. I had some FPS issues up until then... now everything's good FPS wise.

I am also running a 144Hz monitor with G-Sync so that could help a little

Only during trials my FPS drop drastically, sometimes to bare minimum of 1 FPS. Other than that, Orsinium sometimes go down to 30 FPS but it's an issue tome, as long as I have at least 25 FPS, I don't lag.

The most concerning and annoying though is the latency. To me, as non PvP player, it started with trials (along with the FPS drop) then it went to PvE in some cities, even if I'm standing still, doing nothing, then the top dungeons (WGT and ICP) at the point I ave to wait a while to loot a corpse.

Soon, and this time probably without the (tm) symbol, it'll spread more to other dungeons and all other cities.

And more and more DLCs are coming out, more and more costumes, pets and paid features are being implemented.

No ETA, no ETA, no ETA, what the heck are you doing of so much more important there's no freaking ETA to fix bugs and problems like this?
