Currently at 164 CP, around 170k exp for each. The 400k exp requirement will start 446 CP if i'm not mistaken.

There's a formula for it floating around somewhere. Basically the farther below 445 CPs you are, the less XP it takes per CP. At 445/446 it's about 400K XP, and above that, the higher you get the more the XP required per CP gradually increases, until you hit the cap, at which point each CP suddenly jumps up drastically and continues to gradually increase from there.

So until you get to 445/446 each CP will be earned more quickly than it would have been prior to the patch, but the closer you get the more XP it will take. After that point each CP will take more XP than it did prior to the patch.

@Furor - that's not the most recent version of the formula. That was the initial version that went on PTS, but it's been updated since then to continue earning CPs faster up until 445 instead of up until 338.

In short, up until the 438th/439th Champion Point they will cost less than the 400k originally required per Champion Point.

You're doing it as 501*0.95 instead of 501^0.95 - doing it the former way the denominator is 475.95, but doing it the way it was written the denominator is 367.15, so that changes your math.

At 1 CP using the formula as written by ZOS you get 33,089 XP needed for the next CP, at 338 CP you get 400,239 XP needed for the next CP, and at 438 you get 509,186 XP needed for the next CP.

Here's the most recent formula (as far as I know) after it was tweaked to allow faster CP gain for longer:

With that formula at 338 CP you need 312,380 XP for the next CP, at 438 you need 394,741 XP for the next CP, and at 445 you need 400,506 XP for the next CP.

it would depend on your play-style/habits. for me i expect to be back to the "old" grind at about 375 for my play-habits. so essentially they made an easy method for me to get to 350, then after that same old grind, just now im capped at 501 which i hate more.

right now its 230k for my next CP with around 230 CPs. its not bad but i have a ton of enlightenment, since i havent been interested in playing the last week, at least.

Got like 30-40 CP in 2 days...by just playing the game casually. I feel sorry for all those people who grinded CP, glad I didn't would of been a waste of time.

Loving it so far, when it starts to slow down i'll just pretend I have not noticed.
