vonfelty✭✭You know... I run ESO off a SSD and besides the initial load time to get into the character screen, the load times are not bad for me. Of course that means buying an SSD just to play this game and it's not something I would recommend.0 -

Yes, but i think you dont understand the problem. Loading screens on pc dont mean that there is actually loading going on. In fact for the most time hard disk is idle. Its the problem of client-server communication, Something got screwed up in protocol.0 -
sagitter✭✭✭✭✭If you haven't got an ssd , try to do a defrag, you should do it every patch bigger than 1GB.
For me anyway are not worse, just a bit bit better in standard zones, not tryed yet Orsinium much.0 -

Wily_Wizard✭✭✭The 1st time I loaded the new DLC it was slow, but today it is much faster.
Here are my times:- load game from launch window: 20 seconds
- click play until login screen: 6 seconds
- login until player select screen: 7 seconds
- load character into main city: 38 seconds
- load character into dungeon: 19 seconds
Definitely no time for tea.
For reference I have a 4 year old I7 3770 (no overclocks), 16GB DDR3, 250GB SSD, Win 7(with page file and caching schemes disabled), GTX-670.
Note: Previously Win 10 loaded ESO faster than Win 7 on this dual boot system, but I haven't updated 10 yet.0 -

You know it's a known issue that's been acknowledged by ZOS which they are actively looking into right?
Some people for some reason which has nothing to do with the quality of their machines or connection are getting extremely long loading screens, and when I say some, what I really mean is a lot of people, in some cases up to 10 minutes loading and in a few others infinite loading screens. The devs have acknowledged the issue and have told us they are looking into a series of small fixes to track down where the issues lie.1
