Forgive me for being a noob, but with vet 16, do you also continue to earn xp towards a new rank, for when higher levels are released? When people were at vet 14, did they earn all the xp and when vet 16 unlocked they instantly were vet 16? Thanks for the replies.

When the levels increased to VR16, my character who was at VR14 got an instant boost to1 xp short of VR15 - friends of mine were reporting the same thing.

Not sure there will be any more VR levels added mind you, they've been saying for ages they will get rid of them. However I was saying just that before they announced the increase to VR16, so who knows?

GM - Ghost Sea Trading Co - NA PC

Epona was a Romano-Celtic goddess dating back to around 1800 to 2000 years before computer games were invented.

I have read that they plan on removing vet ranks after Orsinium. What they will do from there I have no clue.

I heard about the saved xp being applied after v14, but I returned to the game right after IC, and wasn't there yet.

You literally made an account to make this post today. You knew this was going to happen for quite a while yet waited all this time till orsinium dropped to be unproductively vocal.

That aside, no. It is does not defeat the purpse to still gain cp after the cap. It gives those over the cap some.miniscule form of progression. Do you know what it was like before CP and before the removal of soft caps. Everyone was wearimg the same gear and had the same stats. How boring. Now with CP ZoS has allowed us to make ourselves stronger and personalize our character in different aspects. For both PvE and PvP.

Now that theres a cap everyone can be at an even playing field and those over the cap have their CP basically banked so they are at cap when it is raised. I feel like that is ZoS's form of reimbursement for us over the cap. Neutral reward for being productive and a competitive player. That our earned CP is still there to use when the time comes. We can stil earn CP it just takes longer to earn. To even argue a chamge about this is so unecessary. People got what they wanted with caps and even consider those over punished. Now its really pointless to grind other thank to level characters or skills.

Well genius I tried making the account to discuss it last week, but ZOS took almost six days to send th invitation code. I guess by 72 hours for a reply they meant a week.

Also, it does defeat the purpose. How is it a form of progression when it does not progress your character, because you dont get to use them until you purchase the next DLC?

Here's the thing. In a group play environment, an MMO for example, at some point your character progression ends until he next chunk of content is released, and that is a good thing. It lets characters who are at cap, level to the next cap with other players. If you start the content at cap, where is your progression? "Oh I got that done last patch." How exciting.

You know EVE is another game that wanted to keep rewarding characters progression without creating true progression caps.

I hear they are doing well with their 27k and decreasing active players.

My proposition is that every season theres grind for power and it takes like 200-300 hour to do and its required for every player, if you cant do that, dont play MMORPGs, and when next DLC comes and cap is raised, its same 200-300 hour for all players. That should mean whether you're casual or HC player everyone stays on board.

    Im out!

200-300 hrs of grind for cp? no ty.

Seasons are most likely to last 3 month, at least thats what Zen is promising now, new DLC every quarter. So 300 hour per season is like 3 hour per day, it might be too much and of course there needs to be something to do, so all dungeons, trials, dsa, Craglorn, Cyrodil, IC stays active, if there wasnt CP-system, no-one wouldnt want to do anything.

I personally love the new CP catch-up system. I didnt touch vet-pvp due to it taking an hour to grind a CP at V1 and as a result I only had 5 CP. In an hour of grinding in the new patch I now have 50 CP.
Overload rework. Power Overload now does physical damage and grants you the power of a tornado: You throw a brick at the target with a light attack, and you hammer your head into that brick with every heavy attack. We have decreased its Ultimate cost, but increased the chance that you get stuck in the animation.

Congrats on being a high level in a game no one cares about or pertaining to the discussion in any way. I'll get right on trying to catch up.
Good then you won't have to QQ about catch up will you?
Shoe will be on the other foot and you can listen to the whine about how others have less than you.
    Funny how that works.
Oh and was using another game to illustrate a point get it?

Yeah but your point was half-witted. I'm not QQ'ing about having less. Are you really that stupid to take that out of this entire conversation? I don't care how many CP you have. I'm pointing out that the current design of earning CP that you can't use yet is poor design.

It's like you fanboys all have reading comprehension issues.

Funny that I logged in the other day and there were more active players than that, not to mention, it's hard about that same number for the last 8 odd years.

I mean surely that proves that they are doing something right? To be able to maintain such a gorgeous smooth game, with regular updates etc with a player base that size, a player base that all love the game and have kept it alive for many years.

I guess if a company does not enjoy growth then yeah, I would call that success. If a game only wants the same bittervets to stay subbed without any new player retention then they are doing remarkable.

My problem is I have big fingers, and because of my job they have been smashed, burned, and calloused to the point I can't feel much. So typing (especially on a phone) is like trying to thread a needle with legos as finger tips.
