IC dungeons nerfed to the ground- why ?

Considering this is MMO and PVE players now lost last group even remotely challenging content - i have to ask several questions
1) Is this casual casual game - if yes - end of discussion
2) If this is not completely casual game - why after 1,5 year players dont have any challenging group content
3) If it is not completely casual - what people who would like to do group content will do for next 3 months
4) Why do we need better gear at all as reward in maelstrom arena - to hit crawlers really really hard or even to do speed run in wayrest sewers?

Conclusion : One way or another - would love - just love to see ZOS strategy paper on this game/product - where this game will go .... i am sure it would be one of most disturbing experiences recently.....

    Were they nerfed? They actually removed some of the ways people could deal with things. Like shards on hard mode vwgt and using a sorc summon to tank planar inhibitor.

    I didn't read the full patch notes but I thought these things would have made it harder rather than easier.

    What was nerfed do you feel?

    NPC are falling down as sacks of potato. If they use to hit 7 on scale to 10 now they hit at max 5 . They nerfed all across the board. I did those two ic dungeons at least 200 times . No need to doubt my words - just go there and see it for yourself.
    Question is why they nerfed it that much ?

    There should be separate achievements for those that beat content at its launch level difficulty. "Pre-Nerf Doshia slayer", "Pre-Nerf Molag Bal survivor", "Hard mode Lyris' doppelgänger champion (sheds a tear)", "White gold OG". Just a few examples.

    Its not what they nerfed but by how much - that is the question . Its huge nerf . More or less u will not clear wgt only if your mouse die on you and same thing happens to other party members as well.

    See the adds we always burn down so fast that never occurred to me to think of and since you only have adds for example, in vwgt in the halls and some rooms but not with the bosses (except when I personally have taken too long to close a portal but our dps made quick work of those always, I've only been in 15x so I was bad at closing portals till it clicked), I didn't notice that. Also where you have the atronach on last boss, he didn't seem to hit any less hard but I never really have been hit by him so I don't know. I have been in stupid when he was summoned and roll dodged into a forming lightning line but lol

    Well, is it bosses or just the trash that does less dmg? Last time they nerfed "monsters" it was only the trash which made no difference as far as difficulty went. Because it's the bosses the so called "casuals" are having problems with. It's the bosses they cant beat, because lacking dps, communication and coordination. But if it takes 30 seconds or 2 minutes to kill a trash pack is highly irrelevant in terms of progression. Than the nerf is only there to allow faster farming for group already able to beat it.

    But if they also nerfed the dmg output coming from all bosses, than RIP caring about mechanics I guess. I haven't done vWGT since patch, so no clue.

    Been losing interest to Mmo's in past few years mainly Cause of this thing.. Too fast and just Common Simplifying Content no matter if it's small or big grp instance "Dg or Raid" or even just normal encounters in outdoors :( Yep casuals and whatever is usually said to be reason. One big reason is the Fact that so many kids and many ppl with adult age ask for watered down content and faster / more hand held char progression :(

    Including faster bling bling a.k.a getting strong equipment without effort and thought put into it. Devs Obey and Adult or even some young gamers who Don't Want that are Minority so they lose :(One example is Swtor as it's been totally watered down to effortless lvl even on Heroic mode content. Now after Eaware's "Ex Bioware" latest expanson Knights of the Fallen Empire came out. Disgusting work to make things like that :(

    Companions that plrs have are Now super charged Terminators no matter what role. Y every comp can use any role now after 4.0 patch landed. So for adult Mmo gamer who appreciates work before having bread to table "Reward / Progression" the way to go is to Toggle Companion's 1x Strong Ability off. Even 2x when their Influence goes above 25 rank & keep Dmg role on for every companion. Or if you wanna stay as healer then tank mode for Companion is good choice and lolz Comp with Tank role was buffed to Hercules tanking lvl :(
    Please Zenimax DO NOT bring Simplification to beautiful Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls Online. Even if Those ppl fill the forums with dumbing down a.k.a Simplification requests. That is possible as TESO doesn't have same account type "y kinda silly" restriction as Swtor has. Plrs with f2p account can write to forums in TESO. Or i think they can heh haven't checked on that :)

    We can laugh or cry but one thing remains the same - these guys doesnt know how to do business . They worked their ass off to make ic dungeons beautifull as they are and killed them 2 month after. When u sum it up they invest in content a lot and by their decision they make content obsolete far to early. Life span of their content is too short to make money on it. Thats definition of how not to do business .

    I'd wear it proudly as I give free set gear to new players in the first zones like I do now. And I would wear it proudly as I pug into underleveled instances just to heal players on their first dungeon runs like I do now. I'd wear it proudly next to my name in zone chat as I give advice like I do now. And if people want to refuse or ignore me because of it, then that just shows how much of a judgemental and snobbish jerk they are. It goes both ways.

    The fact is, once you've beaten it the first time, subsequent runs become dull and quickly into a grind for the new gear.

    We've had our time to do the dungeons at their hardest, we've had that satisfaction and we've had our reward.

    Now, after 3 months, the dungeons become more accessible for fellow players to reach that satisfaction and have their reward. I see no problem with this.

    The absolute problem with "challenging content" is that classes are not at all balanced so the band aid fix is to nerf the content to compensate.

    A lot of people got roped into this game because they can "play how they want", but that works as far as vet dungeons and especially the new IC-related ones go. I have a bombing group; two stam nightblades, a templar healer, and myself, a DK tank. We have done all achievements (speed, no death) for all pre-IC content. We've done vDSA and come close to leader-board numbers. Hell, we even did a 100% naked vSpindle run for giggles (save for weapons). However, none of us are in ideal racial / class combos for one, and we only have about 300-ish CP each. The new mechanics in the dungeons highly favor range classes, so much that melee DPS is kind of bad to bring in there (first boss in vICP, Planar Inhbitor, and even Molag Keena. Also, way, way, way too much DPS time is lost on Ibomez with the gimmicky pimple mechanic, too). As a result, and after hours and weeks of trying and wiping all over the place on Ibomez we have still not been able to do it. We've read strats, we've watched plenty of videos and talked with many people. We simply cannot do it with our current team, and it's pretty sad.

    The content is silly easy the more CP's you have, and is leaps and bounds better if you have ranged DPS.

    Changes were for the better.

    It was far too unforgiving with the incredible amounts of damage dealt on top of the mechanics. The dungeon is VERY well designed and really fun. On Friday my team couldn't make it through the Adjudicator - they were just to slow to react to the damage AND the mechanics.

    We made it to the Inhibitor yesterday evening and were doing really well. Just need to practice to be a little bit quicker on the mechanics. We won't get it done today or tomorrow, but I'd say vWGT is in a very reasonable place.
