Is there a cap on divines?

stairwaytwoheavenb16_ESO
On the eso site with locations of mundus stones they even tell you what your mundus would be with 7 divines which leads me to believe theres no cap.,

Then I ready there isn't on some posts here and there..

then a player in game said he actually tried it (ps4) and the 5th piece did not increase his mundus..

so is there any official info on this? and if divines doesn't work on 7, is it because its broken?

There is no cap on divines afaik but the trait works differently with different mundus stones, making divines better for some mundus choices than others. I'm no expert on mechanics so someone else will hopefully elaborate.

Would assume it keeps getting better. I've seen and played with people running TBS with 7/7 divines. That'd be 1 of the only reasons I could think of 7/7.

Not sure, everybody says something else. But I'm still sticking to infusing big pieces and putting divines on the small ones.
I do see many people go with 7/7 but only with scaling Mundus stone.
Today we make our stand. Today we take back the Ruby Throne, which is ours by ancient right and the blessings of the Divines.

do you know which are the scaling ones and which aren't..

this would be for a stam dps set.. so either warrior, crit chance or crit damage.. maybe stam regen..

Tested on Xb1, i run 6 divines, and each piece adds more spell damage. (Cant think of the mundus name)

You can run 8 Divines if you have a shield...

The Divines prefer wearing the Colovian Fur Hat, if that's what you're referring to.

If the effects of the Divines trait has no cap then it must still follow any cap the Mundus Boon itself has.

For dps specs the thief or the shadow are the best mundus stones. Thief gives 11% crit rating and Shadow gives 12% more crit damage. Gold divine pieces improve these numbers by 7,5% each so this trait provides the highest dmg increase.

For some builds TBS is pretty good because the Thief and Shadow mundus work well together. For stam sorcs TBS works great for example. It increases damage (roughly 12%) and heals from crit surge because you crit more often and the crit damage is higher.

Re. the bolded part, is that for PvE, or even for PvP magicka builds? I've been kinda confused about that.

Works in general really. Making it so you crit as often as possible, and then boosting the crit damage itself... Pretty good stuff, although I think boosting damage in general works too.

Crit damage builds are more pve orientated. As in pvp blocking and shields prevent critting, so raw damage is preferred.

I'm not sure on some mundus dtones , like for instance wearing 7 divines pieces pushes the 12% shadow increase up to 18%, because it's a percentage of a percentage. But I think with some like the mage it gives more of a flat boost?

I run a build on my stam sorc that's heavily focused on crit for survival. So I run 6 divines to up the thief stone as much as possible (would run 7 (or even 8) but haven't researched it on boots/shield yet).

I agree for pve that a fine, but in pvp anyone that uses a shield won't be crittable nor will anyone be blocking.

Crits are more reliable in pve, so for both magicka and stamina builds TBS is viable.

For pvp it could also viable if you change the shadow mundus for mag/stam regen, this works best with races that have a regen bonus.

The benefit of divines trait is doubled by the TBS 5pc bonus so if you run TBS try to get divines on all your pieces.

I am not sure this set is working as intended as I have seen a ton of questions on whether the divine traits stack or not. Be nice if ZOS came on and gave some information.
