It's mostly the PvP community that's leaving. We've been asking for a PvP DLC with some small scale PvP arenas but IC is really more of PvE update. Can't really get any good PvP action with aggroing NPC's and most of the players you fight in the sewers are PvE players.

Agreed. I'm not on the Star Wars hype train and let's be honest, the CoD crowd weren't gonna stay anywhere too long regardless. Plus I'm on PC so this is really a non-issue.

Didn't the PvPers say IC was in effect "their yard," and PvEers should wait until a PvE DLC came out? IC is small scale PvP. I've gone in with a few groups and had a blast... However, it isn't like large scale PvP against a bunch of anonymous enemies. It's more like the WWE, you have to communicate and work with your "enemy" to be effective and really have fun... That's part of the challenge in sports/gaming entertainment...

The players that leave, at least from the guilds I'm apart of, have only played a few hours or days. They never truly invested in the game and never would put as much in.

Same with Neverwinter, just randomly check the roster and see the levels and last active. Tons start but don't keep up.

It takes a certain player to put in over 300 hours in a game and still be half way lol.

    Im not worried at all

IC is fun, nothing like wiping out a group of 15+ enemy faction by dragging a banner boss into their AOEs. Spam a couple of steel tornados and collect your 10k+ AP.

PvP is completely dead, the population overall has decreased by at least 70%. ZOS made some of the worst choices they could ever make, they completely ruined the game EVEN for the "noobs" they aimed to help with those horrid things they called updates.

Does that not bode ill for the Community as a whole if new players leave and only the old-timers stick around?

The inbreeding alone could lead to some confusing mutations.

Even the old players who have been playing since the betas have left the game coz of this patch. Overly simplistic approach towards the important changes on zos' part. Can;t blame the players for leaving, coz zos is just focusing on getting more money out of this game until it dies.

I loved ESO when it first came out. It was exciting, and it was something original.

I just happened to log into the forums out of boredom. Many of us just don't play anymore as it feels cheap of them to nickle and dime us over more tedious grinds especially when there is no real content to level from.

They take out a huge nerf bat and beat down any area that might make the grind faster so that we can enjoy the end game. Adding two levels for a pvp patch is just about as wonderful as pulling out a tooth without novocaine. Why would they make us level for pvp?? seriously that was a bad choice..

In the end though, its the same game it always was and I feel tired of it for now and I know that many of us are feeling that way.
This is were my signature would be if I was allowed one.

I don't play this game as much because LOL pvp focus. When I tried to get others to play I get asked three things.

    How is end game?
Is Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild out?
Do they have a Global AH yet?

    People tend to not care.

^This is 100% why I don't play anymore. I was in on the beta tests and played ESO a few months into their B2P model and I just can't do it anymore. All the signs are there that they are going down the road your mentioning. I had such high hopes for this game too.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I was tanking CW in Neverwinter and asked if anyone played ESO.. I was laughed at and told that ESO was NOT a MMO. I asked them to explain. They said
ESO doesn't have Text Chat to group or even grow a player based economy,
ESO's end game dungeons are nothing compared to Neverwinters as ESO's EGC is all ZURG button smash DPS races with very little mechanics.
ESO offers little to no incentive for grouping. and the group finder is broken.

I wouldn't say 70%, but it has taken a huge hit. I know a lot of QUALITY members of this community that have left. Out of the 45 people on my friends list that I have played MMO's with over the years and they all bought ESO.. Only 6 of them are still playing ESO. Those people were all adults and have been playing MMO's since EQ and Asherons Call.

All of us couldn't wait to play ESO. Most of us were sitting here June 9th when the servers went live. When I ask them why they left ESO they just reference the above^^ BabiesFirstMMO is a popular description that is used by a few.

Most of them are getting their console fix in NW.
I am still here hoping things get better with ESO. ZOS has a make it or break it chance coming up with the holiday's coming up.

I honestly hope that you are wrong! ZOS throwing this out and milking it dry before folding would be a huge mistake. ZOS just needs to make a large amount of changes in a short amount of time.

ESO could still be a great game and make gaming history. Most of us "The players" are willing to be patient if we only knew our patience would be rewarded with a great game. Sadly many are giving up.
