My Sorc Build

Just wanted some opinions on my current build.

Breton Sorcerer
32M - 5H - 7S (respec advice?)
5 light - 1 med - 1 heavy

1) Resto Staff
-Healing Springs
-Degeneration (mainly to proc CF)
-Liquid Lightning
-Fire Rune (plan on morphing to Volcanic Rune)
-Crystal Frag
*Energy Overload

2) 2H Greatsword
-Crit Rush
-Wrecking Blow (thinking about changing)
-Endless Fury
-Bolt Escape (will morph to Streak)
-Crit Surge
*Charged Atronach

3) Energy Overload Bar
-Velocious Curse
-Degeneration
-Endless Fury
-Bolt Escape
-Crystal Frag

I love PVP but took a break to finish up the main story and get to vet level. At level 45 right now. Haven't really chosen armor sets, traits, or enchantments yet so advice on those would be helpful.

Hybrid builds rarely work. The fact that you're asking for advice means the previous statement is true for a numbers of reasons:

1. You're having trouble with resource management
2. You're getting rekt

A 2h build without Rally is a like a kitten without a cuddle. That's my opinion.

Actually you should focus on one role, and one ressource you want to play

As an example, tell us if you'd rather be a magicka tank sorcerer or a stamina damage dealer

It seems you're main damage is coming from the 2h, yet you have very little stamina allocated, making it pretty much useless.
Your resto staff side is full of useless spells, like fire rune and liquid lightning.. rarely do people use these, and for good reason.
Honestly, this build is garbage, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Rather go with a magicka build. The Greatsword was just out of nostalgia from other ES games but its def gimping me. Haven't gotten around to giving it up but I know I'll have to.

Sorc just feels like there's so many options not sure which way to go.

yeah right now you have to choose

full magicka full light armor spell caster

stamina medium/heavy armor weapon user

there are of course combinations and in betweens but not to the extent you are describing

Imo you should go for a magicka DPS build then, but you've gotta say what you want to do ( play in solo, Group PvE, PvP .. )

it's quickly put together and should only serve as a template for you. Build something along these lines, but make sure to suit it to your needs and figure out how your sorc shold play.

Game mechanics do not support hybrid builds at the moment. If you are a magicka users, you are going to get Rekt trying to attack people with a greatsword.

Go with something like Jitterbug posted.

In general it is a good idea to somehow someway get about 20K health (thru gear, enchantments, attributes, whatever) and devote the rest of your resources into magicka.

yes, completely

then spell damage, then magicka regen

and again, whatever works best for you

Being a Breton I would make use of those nice passives, drop the stam and go completely magicka. If you were something middle ground like an Imperial it's quite possible to go either way, but Breton is really more effective flinging spells.
In truth you can still make a Breton work as a stam build if you wanted, but it just won't be as useful.

Dude I set up my dest staff bar similar to what you suggested and it is kicking ass. Still working on getting comet unlocked so I'm running atronach.

Trying to fig out what I want on my resto bar. Thinking some buffs and a few heals.

Play around and get used to it.

Then take 10 out of health and put it into magic. Just make you sure you have hardened ward up. Or it's game over

I keep hearing about Hardened Ward so I'll give that a try.

Is Bound Aegis worth adding to go with Inner Light? I keep hearing about that combo but I'm not sure I want to give up that many slots to toggles.

There are never enough slots. Frankly, I can't see how one beats bosses without having a familiar to tank for you. Otherwise, I spend a lot of time running away from the boss. It's very slow going.

These specs seem more oriented towards PvP.

Yes, you are a breton sorcerer so take advantage of the decent racial passives you have. I would go max points in magicka. Your stamina pool should only be used to break cc essentially.
