Why can't we have our mount attributes carry over to new characters?

Of course they want to sell Riding Lessons. But remember before the Crown Store, it was the same deal. You always needed to level mounts from scratch when you started a new character in ESO. So it's not just about micro transactions.

It's one of many gold sinks in ESO. It's a also a way to make players log in every day and get more invested in their characters. If they make stuff like riding or bag space account bound, they need to drain gold from somewhere else, like dunno, increasing repair costs.

Personal opinion is that it was a MAJOR mistake to have Champion Points apply to the account instead of just the character.

This gave a HUGE amount of power to characters that should not be receiving that power and puts characters in the leveling zones outside of the range of their peers.

At a minimum, the account-wide Champion Points should have been only for Level 50+ characters.

Now, given that you just read that, same applies to horse riding training. Big mistake to spread it across the whole account. It gives significant advantage to alternate characters in the leveling zone and moves them out of the range of their peers. All for no reason other than the player spent time doing it on one other character.

Now Now, don't give zeni more ideas.

i would like to see that you could buy more levels in one time though, maybe even increase duration to level to 24 hours. there are days i can't play and then my horse can't be trained. so that you could buy like 5 upgrades at once but they will each take the full duration of the training time
